Chapter One

Chapter 1: What The Rao

"Aunt Astra!" Kara's watery eyes appeared brighter than anything. Brighter than a kid in a candy shop.

That's how things began to change in the redheads life.

Alex's jaw dropped. Kara's aunt was in front of her. The one she idolized over for the past thirteen years! The one who she wanted to be like.

Kara got in front of her human sister to hug Astra tight. She didnt have to worry about hurting her aunt. Her aunt is kryptonian. "Astra, come in." She basically dragged the woman into her apartment, excitedly.

Meanwhile, Alex shuts the front door behind them.

Astra chuckles. "Calm down, Little One. I am here." She looks around before shifting her gaze back to kara. "You didn't introduce me to your girlfriend." The older kryptonian gestured to the redhead.

Kara's eyes widened. "O-No... she isnt my girlfriend."

"Then why is she here? If she lives with you..."

"Shes my sister and she doesnt live here."

"You dont have a sister, your mother only had you...."

Alex was freaking out. She couldnt speak. All she could do was hear the two kryptonians go back and forth.

"Mom only had me, yes... but when I came here, her family adopted me as their own."

That's when Alex got the courage to step forward and talk. "H-hi, I-I am A-Alex.... Alex Danvers." She stutters which wasn't normal for herself. She felt queasy, as if her stomach exploded on the inside.

Kara chuckles. "Shes normally not this nervous."

Astra nods her head and began to shake Alex's hand, gently. "I'm Astra, Astra In-Ze." She says in a general manner. "May Rao bless your family with happiness for taking care of my niece."

Alex smiles and shakes her hand gently back, at the same time as the older woman. "Rao blessed us by bringing into our lives, we are thankful for that. Theres nothing more we couldve asked for to top her."

'It didnt sound like it.' Astra thought to herself before removing her hand from the redheads. "So, we have a lot of catching up to do, Little One." She switches her gaze from the agents to her kryptonian niece. "Can I sit?"

Kara cheerfully nods her head at the other woman. "Yes, totally. We have so much to discuss!!!" She gestures to the couch before hearing Alex walking away. "Alex..." she drags out her name. "You dont got to leave. I need you to help me catch Aunt Astra back up to speed."

Alex turns to Kara, "Are you sure? Like I can go..."

Kara stands up and grabs Alex's arm dragging her to the couch. "Sit down."

Alex sits herself down on the couch beside Astra. "So, since I am helping catch you up about Kara.. imma tell you all about the embarrassing moments back in midvale."

Kara's eyes widens as she heard her human sister speak. "O-" she says before Astra cuts her off. "I want to hear all about that!"

Alex gave her the history of Kara's most embarrassing moments before Kara got annoyed with it. The blonde kryptonian called it an end for the day and the other two women pouted.

"Oh come on!!" Alex groans. "We are just having fun!"

"We are but my niece is annoyed... maybe we shall meet up on our own sometime?" Astra questions the agent. "Preferably pulling a whole night cycle of discussions?"

"That sounds perfect. Where are you staying, I can come pick you up?"

Astra looks at her niece who chimes in.

"With me." Kara says, "so you two will see a lot of each other."

Alex smiles at her kryptonian sister before looking at Astra. "I'll pick you up tomorrow when I am done working." She whispers. "Even introducing you to horror movies tomorrow night." She winks.

Astra blushes and helps Alex to the door. She turns to kara once the door is locked. "What is these horror movies that Alex is talking about?"

"Oh you dont want to know. They are the worst."

After they said their good nights, the two women went to sleep. Astra on the couch, after arguing about the sleeping arrangements. Kara slept in her bed, happier than ever that her aunt lived.
