This world, school, is filled with people who despise Marie-Ann Thomas and Ethan Singh.
Why?
Because they are two bullies who think they're better than everybody. Marie-Ann's dad is the mayor of our town and Ethan's dad is the principal of our school. Therefore, Ethan gets away with everything that he does and so does Marie-Ann.
Like right now.
"Fix ya glasses, glasses!" Ethan spits at some kid I never knew the name of. Though, the kid isn't bad looking.
He has dirty blonde hair that's shown because his beanie just got knocked off along with his glasses. Behind his glasses, I see two beautiful, gray eyes. His eyelashes are also really long. He has a slit over one of his eyebrows making him look badass but with his light blue button-up and white pants, he doesn't look like he would hurt anybody.
The boy gets up and fixes his glasses and his beanie. He leans against the wall and crosses one leg over the other. "Why does beating me up satisfy you?" he asks, a bored look on his face.
Ethan shrugs and looks around frantically like he doesn't know the answer. I scoff. Pathetic.
"I like seeing kids suffer?" he asks. The kid smirks. "Why're you asking me?"
Ethan continues to be confused while the kid slowly backs away from Ethan, both hands in his pockets. He takes them out and puts them in front of him in mock surrender. "I'ma just back away while you think of the answer to that. See you tomorrow, same time, same place," he winks and walks away from Ethan.
This whole time I've been watching Ethan and that kid, I didn't even realize my two best friends, Harmony and Arielle, walk up behind me.
"Boo!" they scream in each of my ears and I jump and scream.
I turn around and they're both in a fit of laughter.
"Ha Ha," I roll my eyes.
Harmony is the one that always has a positive attitude in our group. Her hair reaches her mid-back and is a honey blonde color. Her eyes are light brown and always find a way to sparkle in the darkest times.
Arielle, on the other hand, is the girl that will tell you the truth straight up to your face. With her auburn colored hair and dark brown eyes, she kinda looks intimidating. But since we know the real her, she's less scary in our eyes.
I'm the tomboy of our little group. My hair reaches a bit below my shoulders and my hazel eyes are huge and round. I always wear a hat and backward at that. I'm also very athletic and can play almost every sport. My favorites are football and basketball though.
"You . . were . . so . . scared," Harmony finishes laughing.
"What had you occupied?" Arielle asks me, leaning against my locker. I shrug.
"Just some blonde dude trick Ethan into letting him go."
They both slowly nod. "Chemistry?" Harmony asks and locks arms with me.
"Yup," I smile. Arielle locks arms with me on the other side and we start our walk to Chemistry.
~~~~~
"Ah!" Harmony screams.
As usual, she mixed the wrong, two chemicals together and made an explosion. Me, knowing it was going to happen, backed up a few feet away from the table. Harmony, did not.
"I'm a mess," she shrieks.
And she was. Her hair had the chemicals in it, her clothes were dirty, and her goggles were fogged.
