-Danny-

As I my ghost senses went off I excused myself from the group to the restroom. I quickly transformed and flew through the walls of the school; looking for that ghost. I hadn't noticed it was behind until I got trapped-then zapped-by a net. I knew for a fact that it was Skulker.

"Aha!" He laughed,"I've got you in my grasp! Soon, you'll be put in my collection with the rest of my glorious trophies-"

"Hey, Skully-boy!"

Our heads turn to meet another ghost girl, great. Wait, her voice sounded familiar though.

"Heart Rate? What are you doing here?" Skulker raised a brow- hold on, what?! "Wouldn't your parents be mortified if you were out in public like that?"

"If this town wasn't constantly roaming with ghosts, then maybe." The ghost, Heart Rate, shrugged. "But, that's not important. What are doing to this poor boy?"

"Um, you're practically my age." I stated.

"Oh, shut it."

"Rate, sweetie. You know me well enough that I'll hunt anything that's rare-"

"Then why haven't you caught me?" What??

"I-...I just-.....you-..and your father-.....You're just different!"

"So is he."

"But he- UUGGHHH! Fine!" Skulker cuts the rope and I'm free from the net. "You got lucky, ghost child."

He leaves and to my surprise, this was resolved without any violence. However, I was still wary about this new kid. I got a better look at her. Blue skin, dark, navy blue hair, and yellow, cat-like eyes. I also noticed she had light cracks on her face.

"Um, thanks for helping me." I reach my hand out.

"No problem." She ignores my hand.

"I'm-"

"Danny Phantom, I know. I'm Heart Rate."

"..nice to meet you..."

"Yeah, likewise." The girl refused to make eye contact with me. "I gotta go-," and like that, she's gone in a blink.

-You-

That was TOO close! I appear out of the stall and look at myself in the mirror. I watched as my blue skin return to its (color), human tone. Including my hair and cat eyes. Even my scars reappear on my face. The restroom door opens and walks in Sam.

"How're you feeling?"

"I'm feeling better. Just needed to clean myself."

"Well, your mom's here for you."

"Okay. Thanks, Sam."

We leave the restroom and I parted ways from my new/old friends. I see my mom's car in front of the school and I dragged myself into the shotgun seat and slouched. The car ride was silent. Once we made it back home I aimed toward my room. Not before my mom pulled me in for a hug.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that."

"....."

"You're not in trouble just, take it easy, okay?"

"Mhm..."

I walk downstairs to my basement bedroom and plumped onto my bed. I slept through the rest of that day.

-Sam-

After (Name) left, the guys and I went back to class. Danny then began to tell us about a new ghost kid he saw with Skulker. According to him, they spoke like they were long time friends and to our surprise, she never attacked Danny.

"Should we visit (Name) after school?" I asked them. "Just to check on her."

They agreed and went on with school until classes were over. We walked to her house and we're greeted by her mom.

"Oh, hey kids!" She says sweetly.

"Hey, Mrs. (Last name). Is (Name) here?"

"Yes, she's in her room downstairs. Probably unpacking."

"Okay, thanks!" We pass down the stairs and I lightly knock on the door. "(Name)? It's us."

Footsteps become audible from the other side and the door creeks open. A tired (Name) was standing there, she looked dead.

"Hey, guys..," she mumbled,"Come in. I'm just about done unpacking."

"You're place looks nice, dude!" Tucker commented

"You're place looks nice, dude!" Tucker commented.

"Heh, thanks. I hope to have a sleep over here some time."

-Danny-

"That'd be fun." I added.

My friends and I take our seats on the couch in the room and we all start to chat. While we talked, I continuously shifted my eyes. Before we entered the room, I sensed another ghost. Again like before, they didn't seem to be a threat.

*knock-knock*

The door opens to reveal (Name's) mom. "Hey, kids! It's getting late. Would you like to stay for dinner or would you rather head home?"

"My folks aren't home, I can stay a little longer." Said Sam.

"Sure, why not?" Added Tucker,"my parents won't mind."

"I'll stay too." I replied.

"Wonderful!" She clapped her hands. "The food's still hot, come on."

We walk back up the stairs and we're hit with the smell of fresh steak. You bet Tucker was drooling from the sight of it. (Name)'s family was seated at the table and there were extra foldable chairs too.

Once we were all seated, we place our servings on our plates. There was rice, steak, green beans, mashed potatoes, and fresh salad. Sam obviously had everything but steak and enjoyed it. Tucker devoured the meat in front of him, it was like he was in heaven. I had everything as well but I kept my manners. The food was great.

After dinner, Sam and Tuck went home, but I stayed to help with the cleaning. The family was thankful and (Name)'s mom had given me some of the leftovers for another time, due to the fact that she made too much. I thanked the family and went home for the night.

Opening the door, I walk inside to find my parents glaring at me with their arms crossed.

"Where have you been?" My mom questioned.

"I was down the street, having dinner with the (last name)'s." I answered.

"Why didn't you tell us?"

"I tried to call you but, you wouldn't pick up. So, I texted you instead."

They pull out their phones and find the unread messages I sent them two hours ago. I say it's alright, putting away the gifted leftovers in the fridge and bid them good night leaving towards my room. Before I could fall asleep, my ghost senses went off... again.

I transformed, flying through my roof and scanned the dark area. I feel a light tap on my shoulder and there she was....
