Lora's eyes fluttered open slowly, and the minute she woke up, she regretted it. A splitting headache was pounding in her head and threatening to bust open her skull. As she adjusted to the light, she realised she was in an entirely unfamiliar room. Lora didn't panic, but carefully checked under the blanket to see if she still had her clothes on. Thankfully, she did, which kept some of her self-respect alive.
A frown marred her features as the memories of last night came trickling back bit by bit. Uttering a soft curse under her breath, Lora shrugged out of the extremely comfortable hoodie and slipped into her outfit from the previous night. Shit. Shit. Shit! What would the boys think of her? They were the closest things to friends she had made since her arrival in New Jersey, and she did not want to lose them. Scanning the room for her handphone, Lora found it and speedily texted her mom to tell her she had stayed over at a friend's house.
As Lora padded out of the room and downstairs, she couldn't help but recall the wonderful kiss from last night. Sure, it had been a spur of the moment decision, but she certainly had no remorse. It had been quite possibly the best kiss of her life, and Lora had kissed a lot of boys. Peeking over the banister into the dining area, she caught sight of Mattia, Kairi, Roshaun and Alvaro chatting together. Steeling her nerves, she strolled into the room with a cheery "Good morning!"
The noise ceased at once as they all turned to gaze at the girl. Blushing under the weight of all their stares, Lora waved embarrassedly. Roshaun was the first to speak "Morning, Lora. Sleep well?" She nodded as Alvaro gestured for her to take a seat between Kairi and Mattia. Kairi pushed a mug of something steaming towards her "Here, it'll help with the hangover." She lifted the cup and sniffed it "What is it?" "Ginger tea. Alejandro made it for all of us." Lora had taken a large sip, and she tried her best not to choke when she heard his name. In her mind, she wondered absently where he was.
The table was plunged into an awkward silence as the boys shared glances with each other and took turns to sneakily look at Lora. Once she had drained her drink, Lora slammed it on the table before querying "Alright, what is it?" Mattia, who had yet to speak, uncrossed his arms and asked bluntly "Did you and Alejandro end up having sex last night?" A cherry red blush appeared on her cheeks and she sputtered "W-what?! No! Of course not! Why would you even ask that?!" Mattia exhaled slowly before answering "Okay. Because we all saw you and Ale having cuddle time together last night." Lora had nowhere to hide her furiously flushing face so she buried it in her palms before cringing "I was drunk, alright? He stayed there to make sure I didn't... I don't know, die or something." Kairi stared at her as if he didn't believe what she was saying, but to Lora's delight, he didn't probe the matter further.
