Chapter 34

Once Chrissie and I got into our first period class, I noticed one thing and that was the fact that Vlad wasn't in the room. Noticing this made me think, "If Vlad isn't here, then how did he put the sticky note on my locker? Oh I know! He must have went to his locker after wards and will be here soon." After I thought this, Chrisse came up to me and said what I just noticed, "Hey Vlad's not here."

"Yeah I know, he could still be at his locker I think." I replied back. 

        "Yeah... Um Luna, Vlad's locker is close by your's, and I remember not seeing him there." She replied back.

"Oh.... Um well... I don't know what to say now." I said, but then I realized something, and added, "Hang on I bet you anything that James knows what's up with Vlad." 

       "You know what? I think you're right." Chrissie agreed. So we put our stuff that we needed for class at our desks and then walked over to where James was. "Hi James how are you?" I said to him as he jumped a bit.

        "Oh uh... hi Luna? Uh what do you want?" James said in a weird tone.

"What do you mean, what do I want?" I replied in a cheerful tone.

        "Uh well we don't talk to each other that much and well... When we do, it's either because Vlad and I are trying to hurt you, or you want something." James replied.

"He's right you know." Chrissie replied.

        "Huh, well that's true. So... uh what's up with Vlad?" I asked him.

"Why do you want to know what he's up to? James asked me as he gave me a suspicious look. 

"Uh well you see-"

        "I know what he did Luna, he told me what happened at the hospital afer he got home. I am just curious as to why you want to know what Vlad's up to." 

"Oh... Oh you know what happened?" I said feeling a bit stunned.

        "Yeah he tells me everything." James replied.

"Oh, well I just wanted to tell him that I got his message that he left for me on my locker." I replied as I held up the black sticky note for James to see. "Ah I see and so you wanted to tell him, but then you noticed that he wasn't here." James replied.

        "Yes."

"Well he did come to school only to get what he missed on the day he wasn't here and to also get work that he will be missing." James stated.

        "Oh uh.... well... wait what?" I replied a bit stunned.

"Are you telling us that he won't be here for a while?" Chrissie said jumping into the conversation.

        "Yes, he said something about being out of town for a while. Didn't really specify how long or why he needed to leave." James replied back.

"Are you being serious with us?" I replied.

        "Yes! I am, Vlad kind of sounded like he didn't want to do this, also it seemed like this was something that happened out of the blue, so he wasn't expecting it." James replied.

"Oh ok, thanks for the info." I replied and then Chrissie and I walked over to where our desks were and sat down. Then the rest of the class we spent doing our work and not talking to each other.

                                                        ** later that day after school**

"Hey Michael, I won't be going home on the bus. I have to do something after school." I told my little brother.

        "Um ok, I'll let mom and dad know." My brother said to me and then went to go catch the bus. After that I went off to go meet Chrissie up at the place we decided to go to before finding out who my secret admirer is. Once I got to the spot, I had to wait a bit for her to come. Once she got here, we decided to go to where my secret admirer told me to go, the track field. When we got to the track field, Chrissie and I noticed that no was here but us. "Do you think we should wait a bit?" I asked Chrissie.

        "Yeah, maybe he's had to do something first." Chrissie replied.

"Yeah I think you're right." I replied back. Then we waited some more. As we waited, I started to wonder who the person was, as I did this, Chrissie looked at me and said, "It's been a while, I think who ever likes you chickened out and went home."

        "Sounds like it." I replied back. So we then decided to go back up to the school and call our parents to come pick us up. Once they came and got us, I decided to tell my parents why I stayed after. Once I told them what had happened, My dad said angrily, "When you do find out who this boy is, let me know. I want to have a conversation with him about some things."

        "Ok daddy." I promised my dad. After that we drove home, and I didn't think about my admirer for a while, because I was too busy thinking about why Vlad had to leave for a bit.

                                                        ** admirer's Pov **

As I went to go to the track field to wait for Luna, I thought to myself, "You're finally going to do it, you're finally going to tell her that you love her and want to go out with her." After I thought this, I got closer to the hill that lead down to the track field, but then stopped. The reason, Luna got to the track field before me and had one of her friends with her. So I ducked behind a tree and waited for Luna's friend to leave. When the friend didn't leave, I decided to go, because I wanted to have the meeting with Luna to be just me and her.
