Taehyung held a mighty frown to his face.

He gazed at the mighty podium, the top winners of the Seoul figure skating Local championship.

Of course, he was one of them, but he wasn't the top winner. And no, he wasn't third. No, Taehyung was second place, a silver medal draping at his neck. He's usually placed first when it comes to the junior short program. But he didn't this time.

In third place winner was Park Jimin, he was an agile skater and his choreography was like watching an angel on ice skates. But he lacked power when it came to jumping and fallen quite a bit.

In second place was Kim Taehyung, the local favorite. He skates with grace, although not as elegant as Jimin, his style, as well as his jumps, are amazing. His only flaws were his rotation, he sometimes he was all too pre-rotated or under-rotated, and he stumbled quite a bit due to his poor jump techniques with only a certain few.

Yet, the star of this all was Jeon Jungkook. First place winner at his first championship. The kid came out of nowhere and took the rink by storm. There wasn't as much grace in his dance, but he by far had the most excellent jumps Taehyung had ever seen in person. He executed a quadruple lutz with perfection, the crowd was stunned, even Taehyung himself was appalled by this newcomer's skill.

Taehyung could only attempt triple jumps, but this guy was very well a beast. His choreo, spirals, combination spins, and even his combination jumps and quads were the best on anyone on the rink. The moment Jungkook stepped onto the ice, he knew he'd win.

Jungkook was powerful.

The group accepted their flowers and applause before skating off the rink. Jungkook took a beeline to the dressing room without even hesitating to wave toward the crowds.

"Who is this guy?" Taehyung mumble towards Jimin, the other shrugging.

"I don't know, he just came out of nowhere."

Taehyung watched as Jungkook's sleek figure disappeared into some room, "he skates with some crazy power."

"Hell yeah, the kid is amazing!"

Taehyung grimaced a bit, skating up toward the wall and to the outskirts of the rink. "He's not that good," Taehyung piped as he slipped on his blade guards, "all he did was jump around like a prancing little deer, there was barely any artistry." The boy huffed.

Jimin looked on with concern but disregarded the latter's outrageous words nonetheless. Jimin fit his blade guards onto his skate before stepping out of the arena after Taehyung to head towards their changing room. Taehyung was grumpy.

"Taehyungie," Jimin piped as they entered the changing room, a dozen of other skaters getting dressed into their normal attire. "Taehyung, you don't have to be upset because you weren't first place."

"What!?" The taller snapped back, pivoting towards Jimin with spite. "I am not jealous! I just don't think he deserved first place." The boy crossed his arms with his nose pointed up.

"Oh really?" Another voice sounded, beckoning from behind Taehyung's back. It wasn't nearly as deep as the velvet in Taehyung's voice, but it was very well more menacing.

Taehyung whipped back around, seeing no other than the devil himself. Jeon Jungkook.

Taehyung scrunched up innocently as if he had said nothing wrong at all. "Oh-"

"Oh?" The other chimed, somewhat amused. Although the two were the same height, Jungkook's demeanor was towering due to his heavier build -- which was surprising because he seemed so tiny from afar.

Taehyung pouted before crossing his arms with a huff. "Who the fuck are you?"

Jungkook as well as Jimin let on a shocked expression. "Uh," Jungkook stepped back, dumbfounded by the blunt elder, "what do you mean?"

"You can't just waltz in here in steal the show like you own the damn place!" Oh, his blood was very well boiling, and Taehyung was soon to release something dangerous.

"But it's our job to skate competitively, are you upset you placed second to me?"

With a bratty huff and a stomp of the feet, Taehyung whipped around to commence changing. He didn't care so much to change in the bathrooms, no, the boy was fuming so incredibly that he spared no time in dressing back into his sweats and running along out the room.

Jimin didn't even try to keep up with Taehyung's rapid speed, instead, he turned to faced Jungkook with embarrassed eyes. "I'm sorry about Taehyung," the smaller piped as he fiddled his small fingers. Jungkook looked blankly at the latter, not caring all too much for the preceding altercation or the current one he faced now. "Taehyung takes skating very seriously, so his pride was a little hurt when you won."

Jungkook sighed with the unamused headshake of disapproval, "I don't really care." He began to grab his items, skates and all, and exit. "I guess I'll be seeing you."

"Y-yeah."

"THAT ASSHOLE!" Taehyung pounded his closed fist against the diner's table, a few other customers of Aunty Na's looking on in disbelief. Jimin wanted to bury himself after every outburst released by the other. "That motherfucker really thought he could just come out of nowhere and win first place?"

"Uh, yeah," Jimin snarked before crossing his arms. "That's exactly what he did? Right?"

Taehyung began kicking his legs like a toddler throwing a tantrum, which he most definitely was in this situation. "I'm going to off myself!" He gripped at his hair.

A waitress soon approached their booth, her eyes either holding concern or fright, whichever one both seemed pretty plausible. "Sir, is everything alright?"

"Yes ma'am," Jimin squeaked while Taehyung only grimaced, "he just lost first place at a skating competition today."

"Jimin!"

The woman looked on in glee upon hearing the news, confusing both the boys at first, "you're a figure skater? My daughter loves skating."

"Oh." Taehyung glanced at Jimin before returning his gaze back to the woman. "Okay?"

"It's just, isn't the sport a little feminine?"

Both Taehyung and Jimin simultaneously turned to face each other. This time, Jimin took the honor of defending his craft, "I'm nineteen, I started skating before I even started kindergarten, you'd think I'd be used to hearing that by now, but it never gets old. I'm a man who skates, why does it concern you?"

The woman stood baffled with her notepad in hand, Taehyung smirking at her shocked expression. Taehyung chuckled in an almost undermining way, "I'd like to order now."
