"Holy shit..." James whispered next to me. He was clutching his seat so hard his knuckles were white. "If you don't calm down your hand is going to fall off." I joked, looking over at him. "Very funny." He gasped. "How are you not freaking out right now?" He asked me. I nodded my shoulders and looked out the window. We were picking up speed now. We would be in the air in just a few seconds. I could hear James's heavy breathing. I sighed, reached over and set my hand on top of his. He released the chair, intertwined his fingers with mine and squeezed. He was seriously scared. I ignored the slight pain in my hand and rubbed my thumb over the soft part of his hand, trying to calm him. It was working. His breathing was becoming more even and his grip was loosening. Not a lot, but enough to not hurt. I felt the plane turn upward and I could hear the wheels being tucked away. "James." I said so only he could hear me. He looked over at me, still slightly nervous. "Look." I smiled and turned my head towards the window. The higher we got, the less he squeezed my hand. "It's beautiful." He smiled after a couple seconds. I nodded my head and continued to watch the world get smaller. After a few minutes, I looked back at James and caught him staring at me. He quickly looked away and blushed. I giggled and went to grab my Ipod from my pocket, only to realize we were still holding hands. James felt me move and looked down at our intertwined fingers and slowly let go after he realized we were still connected. We smiled awkwardly at each other and I grabbed my Ipod and headphones from my pocket. He followed suit and did the same. After a few songs, I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
When I woke up two hours later, all the boys and other passengers were still asleep. I took my headphones out of my ear, unbuckled, and slipped past James to go to the bathroom. As I was exiting, I accidentally bumped into Casey. "Oh, sorry." I whispered. "It's ok. You know, if you want to get my attention you can just ask. You dont have to keep running into me." He whispered back and smirked. "Oh please." I rolled my eyes jokingly. "I thought you were sleeping?" I added. "I was, I just woke up like two minutes ago." He said. "So how was take off? Did you faint? Pass out? Die?" I asked, being dramatic. He rolled his eyes and said, "well clearly I didn't die." He chuckled. "I didn't pass out or faint either. I used your trick and looked out the window the entire time. It was pretty amazing. Plus Barclay was talking to me the whole time so that helped too." He finished. "Good. I'm glad it wasn't totally terrible." I smiled. "Alright, I'm gonna go sit back down. Probably fall asleep again since we still have six and a half hours." I said before turning to go back to my seat. Once I sat back down, I put my headphones back in and, as expected, fell back asleep.
"Aaaaria. Waaaake uuuup." I heard a melody of voices calling my name, but I didn't wake up because I assumed I was dreaming. That is, until I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder and shake me. I opened my eyes and seen all the boys looking at me. "You guys are creepy." I yawned. I went to pull my headphones from my ears but they either fell out while I was asleep or the guys already pulled them out. The boys laughed at my comment. "We wanna jam!" Jake smiled. His smile always makes me smile too. "You woke me up to sing?" I complained. "Yes." They all answered together. I laughed and sat up straight. "Fine. What are we singing?" I looked around at all of them. "We wanna try What Makes You Beautiful." Charlie said. "Well okay. Are we splitting up into parts right now, or are we just gonna wing it?" I asked. "Lets just wing it!" Casey exclaimed. We agreed and I turned the song on my Ipod so we could have a tempo and our timing would be correct. The music started and Tom and Chris took the first part, then we just went around the circle and took turns. It wasn't necessarily the best vocal, but it was fun. We sang a few more random songs and then the seatbelt light came on. "Attention passengers, we have arrived at our destination and will be landing momentarily. For your safety, please buckle your seatbelts and wait patiently. Thank you for flying London airlines." The pilot said over the intercom. The boys and I all sat down and buckled up like we were asked, then waited to land. Once the plane landed, we grabbed our carry on bags and left the plane. We then found our other luggage on one of the conveyer belts in the airport, and then made our way outside. There was a hummer limo waiting to take us and the other groups to Louis's house. "SWEEEET!!" Chris smiled, and the other boys looked just as excited as him. I giggled and walked around to put my suitcases in the trunk while the boys admired the vehicle. After that was finished, I took a seat in the limo and waited for everyone else to do the same. It only took about five minutes to get everyone seated. I was squished between Charlie and Barclay. Atleast I wasn't next to any of the competing group members. Finally, the limo began to move and we were just minutes away from Louis's house.
