"Silver?" I said snapping my fingers in front of the blank gazing expression on my best friend's face. "Hello!" I yelled finally seeing the object of her attention; the tall and muscularly shirtless Christian Connelly scamming on some poor innocent girl in the Starbucks parking lot. "Silver! Hello!"
"Sorry, uh-" she stuttered.
"Yeah, staring at the school bad boy while dating not only our childhood best friend, but also his best friend's brother," I huffed turning back to Insurgent and ignoring my hormone crazed friend.
"Look Carter, I'm sure there's more to him than just the school's bad boy," she shrugged sipping her white chocolate mocha and skimming a magazine as normal.
"Yeah, he's also the biggest player known to man kind, but whoop," I said sarcastically rolling my eyes.
"Silver," I heard Ronnie's deep voice as he approached our table. "What'd you do to our poor Carter this time?" He had the smirk only the Rodriguez twins could perfect.
"Nothing love," Sliver replied sweetly kissing his cheek.
"I should actually go," I sighed placing my book back into my backpack and slinging it over my shoulders.
"Oh no you don't," Ronnie said with a chuckle. "It's Friday and you know what that means my dear,"
"I'm really not in the mood for any dumb dares today. My parents are out of town so I have to get Jimmy from play practice and make dinner tonight. Along with all my homework, no way. I gotta go,"
"Jimmy can wait at school for three more seconds Ms. Carson. This dare is killer!" I sat back down reluctantly letting out a large puff of air. "Now, your dare is to win the heart of none other than player Christian Connelly. Donald told me at his party tomorrow he's going to be on the look out for his next big thing." he let out a small chuckle and placed his arm around Silver's slender shoulders.
"Ronnie, he's not even my type! Just because his mother's invited to my parent's parties does not mean we're even remotely similar."
"You know the rules Carter, you have to," Silver chuckled looking out in Christian's direction.
"Oh, and you have to get him to say 'I'm in love with you Carter' before you can end it." Ronnie finished with a smirk.
"Whatever, I've gotta go," I said slightly annoyed walking out of the Starbucks.
"Hey! Carson!" A husky deep voice called out. "Carson wait up," he said grabbing my wrist.
"What!" I shouted turning around in fury to face Christian himself.
"Whoa, the Carson sister is feisty" he said pretending to be scared. "Have you seen Micah around?"
"Why would you ask me Connely?" I groaned. Just because Micah was my brother doesn't mean I even speak to him most days.
"You're calling me Connelly now? Didn't know we were moving on to nicknames," he smirked raising one chocolate brown eyebrow.
"You called me Carson first, god you're an idiot."
"Listen, I'm a lot of thing sweetheart charming, handsome, sexy, charming,"
"Don't forget cocky," I added sarcastically.
"But I'm not an idiot," he winked. "Brown's a nice hair color on you Carter."
"Look I'm late for something, and I have no time for whatever this is." I said pushing past his muscular shoulder.
"See you tomorrow Carter cutie," he chuckled as I stormed off to my car.
Damn this stupid dare; damn Ronnie; damn all things pertaining to stupidly attractive Christian Connelly. I drove quickly to the school to pick up my younger brother Jimmy.
"You're late," he groaned getting into the passenger seat of my car.
"Sorry your highness," I stayed rudely.
"What's wrong with you today?"
"Nothing," I sighed, "do you know where Micah is?"
"No," he shrugged taking out his phone and going onto Instagram. "Look you gained even more followers yippee," he said sarcasm clear in his voice.
"Not this again, Jimmy look,"
"Do you know how hard it is to live in your academic shadow already? And on top of it you're famous on social media too!"
"What do you want me to say! I'm sorry people follow me on Instagram! I'm sorry I work hard in school! I'm so sorry Jimmy!" I yelled.
"Yeah whatever, you could at least give me a shoutout or something." he groaned.
"No problem Jim." I sighed turning on the radio and focusing on driving and driving alone. That worked until Jimmy decided to speak again.
"Are you going to Christian's party tomorrow?"
"Oh my god! Yes, I am, why?"
"Do you think I could go with you?"
"What!" I said quizzically, "yeah I mean sure, just pipe down I'm trying to think."
"I'm 15 not 5 Carter I wanna go,"
"You can come Jimmy just shut up!"
"I want Jimmy John's,"
"FINE! LET'S GET JIMMY JOHN'S!" I screamed causing my brother to go completely silent.
"You're one year older than me not ten don't yell at me like that." he finally said as I turned into Jimmy John's.
"I'm sorry Jimmy," I said parking the car. "Get me a Club Lulu no cheese." I said handing him a 20 dollar bill as he exited the car. I sat waiting for about 10 min when he finally returned with our sandwiches. We drove the five minutes to our home in utter silence parting as soon as we enter the door, him up the stairs and me down into my basement dwelling I called a room.
I immediately placed my long wavy hair into a messy bun and sat down. I grabbed my iPhone 5S and opened YouNow to start my daily broadcast.
"Hey guys!" I smiled noticing the many people logging on to watch me.
manny2fly88: beautiful
gorgie98: hi carter!
libbi1234: ily Carter
"Hi Gorgie and I love you too Libbi!" I said making a heart with my index and middle fingers.
gracie5434: how was your day!
"Well I actually had a shitty day, but I'm really glad to be on YouNow right now!" I tried to smile and made a few faces at my camera. I sat my phone up and grabbed my Jimmy John's and opened my sandwich. "I'm gonna eat on YouNow guys!" I chuckled taking a bite and grabbing my iPod to check my Instagram. "Thank you so much for 100K on Instagram guys! I love you all so much!"
I cleaned my face off and opened snapchat taking a picture and captioning it 'watch me on YouNow' and saving it putting it on not only my story but also my Instagram.
"So guys I'm gonna play so music and if you can guess who it is I'll fan you!" after 10 rounds and about an hour later I signed off of YouNow. I deleted the picture off Instagram and changed from my cardigan and jeans to a baggy t-shirt and Adidas sweatpants. I took a picture in my mirror wall near my bed and posted it on Instagram captioned 'long days call for long sleeps' and closed my phone going to sleep to the Arctic Monkeys' song R U Mine.
