( three. ) opening scrawl
001. ramona pham, well known among hogwarts students for her baking abilities and her rambunctious best friends, has always been a little clueless. she was smart enough to receive good grades, but when it came to interactions with others she was occasionally lacking in common sense. this was especially prominent when it came to romance. even with the prospect of love right in her face, she glanced through it without a clue as to what was in front of her. (like a bird that can't see glass, george would cleverly remark)
002. fred weasley, billowing with freckles and flaming red hair, knows of ramona's cluelessness better than anyone else. he knows that when he stares it's a little longing and that when he speaks its a lot fond— and everyone else does too. so why doesn't ramona? fred doesn't exactly have an answer but he does know that there's a chance she'll never know. so he basks in her sunshine without worrying too much of his secret— until he learns of the approaching wizarding war, and realizes he doesn't want to die without having told her the truth.
003. lord voldemort has returned. the wizarding world may not be entirely ready to accept it— but fred and romana know it to be the truth. the war once fought by their parents has reared its ugly head, and washed hogwarts in deceit and danger and second guessing. romana and fred, aided always by george, lee and zoey— set out to dispel the darkness in anyway they can. including but not limited to: fireworks, trick candies— and, with luck, a little romance.
