The Box

The Investigation

While she took a moment to sit and think what to do about the box, a sudden breeze came in and aggressively blew out the candles.  Riley's heart skipped a beat or two and she shrieked quietly.  She quickly slid off her book-bag from off her  shoulder and unzipped it shaking vigorously to get the zipper open.  Picking up the box, she shoved it in her bag's pocket and zipped it back up.  As she threw it over her shoulder, she ran out not caring if she ran over or knocked over some of the old wooden shelves. "Oh gawd that's not normal at all!!" She panicky told her self as she quickly ran past a shelf knocking over some of the rusty-lidded glass jars.  She slammed her body in the door trying to jingle the door knob." . . . . .  Why. Won't. You. OPEN!!!!!" As she said this, she looked back to see the strange wind was . . . following her? When she got the knob to click open, she gasped and slammed it open tripping over the steps leading into the shed. "Ouch!" She said as she hurriedly got up and sprinted to the nearest tree "Oh... my... GAWD That was fucking legit!!" She said still breathless looking down at her shoes to noticed a faint red spot slowly growing deeper.  "I-I think i'm bleeding..." She mumbled as she leaned against the tree squatting down to take off her left shoe.  She picked up her foot taking off her shoe and sock. Reaching into her bag, she grabbed a bandage to clean up the blood.  "Good thing I came prepared"  She mumbled to herself quietly and wiped off all the blood to put on a large band-aid.  Putting her sock and shoe back on, she stood up slowly regaining her energy to walk back home.  Ding Ding "Oh god it's just mom. . ." She jumped of confoundment and checked her phone and slung her bag back over her shoulder.  As she took her steps away from the shed and forest path entry, all of the once beautiful green grass , lively marmalade, and heavily emerald shaded oak leaves would turn a deep deathly shade of brown and wilt down.  A few minutes later she reached her mailbox and a swift peaceful breeze swept across her face and body as she walked up to the door of her house.  Reaching into her hoodie pocket to retrieve the house key and unlocks the door yawning into her other free hand. "MOM I'M HOOOOME !!"  She called out to her mother who was in the kitchen making dinner. Looking into the kitchen she saw her mom poke her head over the mini bar.  " Oh welcome home sweetheart i'm just starting on dinner." Her mom replied.  Smiling, Riley walked over to the stairs and almost tripped as she limped on the bloody foot to the bathroom.  Reaching for her bedroom door knob, she cracked open the door and slid her bag off her shoulder onto the floor next to her door entrance.  Closing her door again she walked over to the bathroom door and called down to her mom who was still in the kitchen making dinner," Mom I'm going to hop in the shower, You need anything before I do?!" 

"No sweet-heart go ahead and hop in. When you get out dinner should be either almost done or on it's way to finishing." Her mom called back to her from the kitchen as she was cutting  chunks of chicken thighs. Walking into the bathroom, Riley limped over toward the toilet to put the lip down and sat down slowly so she didn't hurt her foot. Taking off her shoes and socks and dropping them on the floor next to her, she picked up the injured foot and unwraps the bandage that surrounds the deep slash in the side of her foot. Leaning over to the sink, she turned on the faucet and put a little towelette under the running water.  Turning the water off, she put the napkin over the bloody spot on her foot and wiped off all the blood.  After she finished cleaning it off, she stripped down and turned on the shower's head on mildly hot. 

Alright im ending this chapter here cuz I ran out of ideas for this one T^T oop- Anyway any mistakes or problems comment and tell me know so I can fix it Tanks chu and good baii~
