Fourteen year old Madison Ziegler stared intently at the white plane through the airport's large window. This plane ride would mark the beginning of her new life. Her life in Los Angeles.

She could see it then. She would live in a beachfront house with her mom's best friend, Kira, and her daughter, Kalani Hilliker. She would go to the beach with Kalani every day after filming, go shopping in California's expansive malls, and just live life on the edge.

"Maddie? Maddie!" Her mother, Melissa said. Maddie turned, "Sorry, what?"
"Oh honey, are you nervous?"
"Nervous, why'd I be nervous?"
"Your right pointer finger's nail is about to come off."

Maddie looked down and sighed. Biting her nails was a habit she had picked up on, and she did an excessive amount of it whenever she was nervous.

"Well, I am only a fourteen year old girl moving to the other side of the country alone-no biggie."
Melissa gave Maddie a bittersweet smile, "Hollywood doesn't know what they're in for. Now, the rest of your things should be shipped to Newport sometime in the next week."

"I love you Maddog!" Twelve year old, Mackenzie Ziegler exclaimed, giving her sister a final hug.

And Maddie had thought saying goodbye to her friends had been hard. She sniffed back tears as she whispered, "I love you too Kenz."

All flying to LAX, please board now the intercom said.

Maddie looked back at her mom and sister one last time.
"Go get 'em Maddie." Melissa said, as a tear rolled down her cheek.

Maddie inhaled and showed the lady her ticket. Once she was clear, she started walking towards the plane.

"Think she'll turn around?" Kenzie asked.
"No. I don't." Melissa said.

And she didn't.
