Philippines, my one and only, Philippines

Where was I, a proud Filipina, was born patiently

Shining pearl that was colonized

, have suffered, and have looked down

at the other side , it have built a strong and proud people

Star-gazing at night you could see the shining proud pearl of the east

Never fades its glitters and spreads its light like the sun that glows inside your heart

Its warmth have always hugged me,

Makes me deserve how this shelter have kept me

Spaniards, who might you be?

One Filipina have stand up and shouted

Spaniards! It's them! It's them who have stained the lovely paradise

Saying...it was them who ruined us!

Us who are the pitiful ones!

Yes it is! Yes they were!

Great rulers have stored this place and ruined it as well

Men and women die without justice

Depression, desperation, Betrayal has come

Just to survive even it is a lie

Hunger and sadness spreads out everywhere

One life fades, hundreds tears are being shed

Still belongingness keeps on lifting up their souls

Philippines, you keep my hopes up!

Pours and drinks a small water

I have kept waiting for the bright sunrise

That will come and wake me up from this nightmare

On the other hand, I keep on dreaming them

I saw the colored rainbows

My soul kept comparing it to the stained pearl

My shadows kept hoping that it will shine again

For I know that it will, as long as our hope remain strong

I say, people of the east pearl stand up!

May you don't plead on them and defend the country

Meaningless battles soon will reach to its end

As we, people of this stained pearl, shall regain our unity for the lost paradise

I stared at the stained, endless, blue-white sky

And have breathe deeply as I can

I see and feel the never ending hope of my countrymen

Another day was born

As the sunlight kept on emitting its light

I'll never turn down my shelter

As I know my love for this will never end
