~ Bob’s POV ~

Bobathaniel, known as Bob to his close friends, watched Mythia saunter away from the bar to her room for the night. She was one of the few women who didn’t pounce on him or try to get his attention - in any way, but she caught it. There was something about her that he couldn’t describe that made her different. Mythia kept to herself with the exception of her sister Lenore who always seemed to be yelling at him for whatever reason. As Mythia disappeared down the hall Bob’s gaze turned to the overprotective sapphire Dragonborn. She held a relationship with Mythia as He did with Gideon. He took a moment to decide what he should do, but with Mythia on his mind, he couldn't think straight. He wondered if this was a similar feeling to being drunk. Bob shook his magnificent golden head, downed the last of his alcohol and got up to follow her.

~ Mythia’s POV ~

Mythia felt Bobathaniel’s gaze on her back as she retired for the night. Her hair gently swayed as she walked to her chambers. Her mind was plagued with a single question: why was he looking at her? Mythia had watched as Bobathanniel flirted his way around over the months she spent with him and the rest of their party. She hoped she wasn’t his next target. She had no intention of letting him play with her feelings or her body. Slipping into her chambers, she began to dig through her bags for the only item she had other than a blanket when she was found by her loving father. A ruby that looked like the eye of a dragon. She hears footsteps and quickly puts it away as she hears a knock on the door to her room. Mythia closed her bags and made  sure that everything was in order before opening the door just a crack. She raises an eyebrow as she spots Bob. She sighs and quietly says,

"What do you want, Bobathaiel?"

"I wanted to talk to you, may I come in?"

"You know very well that the only reason I’m speaking is that Lenore is not here." Mythia fixed Bob with an icy gaze.

"Easy ma’am, I only want to talk." She looks at him as though he thought she was dumb.

"I know what you do, player. You talk to them, get them to trust you, then you get in their pants. Not me. I'm not a conquest for you. Please leave.’’ She starts to shut the door as Bob speaks up and shoves his massive boot into the remaining space to keep the door open.

"Nor will you be, I only want to talk about the day."Mythia narrows her eyes.

"... Fine. But stay on the other side of the room. And by stay, I mean stay. Unless you are leaving." She opens the door and goes to put her stuff by the head of the bed, away from Bob. She then sits on a chair by the bags. Bobathaniel moves to sit across the room from Mythia, closing the door behind him gently.

~Bob’s POV~

It surprised Bob when Mythia actually let him in her chambers. He was expecting her to slam the door in his face when she opened her door. That almost did happen - he wouldn’t be here now if he hadn’t shoved his foot in the way and somehow convinced her to let him in.

“You wanted to talk about earlier today? What about it?” Mythia crosses her arms and legs watching Bob with a guarded look in her eyes.

“More like a few days ago when we got into that big battle. You took hits for Lenore that you didn’t need to take. Why?”

“If you haven’t noticed, I’m loyal to her. Out of everyone in my life so far, only she has been constant.” Mythia looks away and stares out the window deep in thought. Seeing this he brings her back by quietly saying.

“She doesn't have to be.”

“Who else could it be? You are with a different female every few nights you get a chance with unless it’s Anju. If you are going to be a constant in someone’s life, why not hers? You are already on the way to being so.” Mythia scoffs, looking down at one of her bags.

“You know Anju is just a big flirt and will probably never settle.”

“People change. Let’s say I do let you in and be my other constant. Why do you want to be that for me?”

“I don’t know, but there will be a point when she also leaves.” Mythia stiffens slightly and a flash of fear is seen in her eyes just long enough for Bob to see it before she hides it. Although her posture doesn’t change, her eyes are clear and so is her voice,
“What do you mean?” Mythia quietly asks.

“Most people find love, everybody dies and I know Dragonborn don’t live as long as you will.” Mythia stayed silent as she contemplated this. Bob watched her, waiting for her response. A tear slipped from her eye, others following it shortly after.

“Woah, hey! Why’s a pretty lady like you crying?” Bob said concerned he’d crossed a line.

~Mythia’s POV~

Bob’s words were like a knife digging into Mythia’s heart. They reminded her of how her birth parents left her for dead. When she got lost in a forest when she was coming into adulthood for a week, and was separated from Lenore for close to a year before they found each other again. The tattoos decorating her arms bore a symbol of strength to her for these times - but this time it didn’t work.

“I-I can’t… Not again…” She whispers through her tears.

“Hey,” He said as he got up and moved over to comfort her. “What’s the matter?” Bob crouched in front of Mythia, and looked up into her face.

“I can’t be alone anymore I just...CAN’T.”

“Then I won’t let you be,” Bob said.

“Why would you do that? You don’t know me. I completely ignore you.”

“Because I know how it feels to be alone.” He said quietly. Mythia looked up at him quietly, eyes wide in surprise.

“Y-you do..?” She murmured quietly.

“Yes, I do. None of you but Gideon know that I watched my father get killed, and my mother abandon me.” Mythia looked at him in awe. It was one thing to be abandoned by both parents, it was completely another to watch one of them be killed. Bobathaniel reaches out to pull Mythia into a hug. Surprise courses through Mythia, but she relaxed into the warm safety of his muscular arms. She would never admit to it, but being in his arms was like being wrapped up in a warm blanket. Providing peace and protection to her mind, calming her. Slowly, she drifted to sleep curled in Bob’s arm’s and her head nestled into the crook of his neck.

~Bob’s POV~

Bob lifts the small body cradled in his arms and shifts her into one massive arm so he could pull back her sheets. He gently places her in her bed, pulling the blankets up to her neck. The door opens and in walks Lenore.

“WHY IN THE NAME OF THE GREAT GOLDEN WYRM ARE YOU IN HERE, BOBATHANIEL?!” Lenore shouts at the top of her lungs, making Mythia’s eyes flutter open.  She looks around slightly in confusion. Bob held up his pointer finger to Mythia, signaling her to wait a moment. Then he slowly turned around to face the fuming sapphire Dragonborn.

“Before you jump to any farfetched conclusions let me explain myself.” Lenore crosses her arms and starts tapping her foot.

“Then explain.”

“I wanted to get to know Mythia a little bit. Some of her past came up and she fell asleep in my arms as I was consoling her.

“And with you yelling you woke me back up,” states Mythia tiredly. Lenore looks at her soft-spoken sister and quietly sighs. Uncrossing her arms she walked over to Mythia and gently ruffles her hair.

“Goodnight, Sis. You know where I’ll be.” Lenore leaves, signing to Bob that she’d be watching him. Bob sighs as he turns back to Mythia after Lenore firmly shuts the door. The large golden Dragonborn asks,

“Do you want me to stay till you fall asleep or should I leave?”

“Stay, just for a little while…” Mythia yawns, snuggling into her pillow. The large golden Dragonborn sighs when he sees Mythia curl up. Mythia’s delicate hand catches hold of his cock through his kilt. Bob looks down at her, carefully grasps her hand and released her grip on his cock. Mythia softly smiles as her breaths become more even and she slowly slips into a deep sleep. Bobathaniel lets go of her hand and quietly leaves the room shutting the door behind him. As he walks back to the bar, he scratches his head, contemplating what had just happened.
