Nagising nalang ako nang dahil sa tunog ng phone ko. Pinilit kong gisingin ang sarili at magsalita kay mama. Na-inis siya nang nalaman n'ya na bagong gising pa ako. Sino ba namang hindi makatulog e tinapos ko yung research papers at ako pa nag handa ng pagkain. 

"Honey, Alia will reach back home in few hours while me and your dad will stay here for another two days. Tell the twins to take care of themselves and please, convince them to come home next month for Logan's 4th birthday," I did as what she told me. 

May dalawa pa akong kapatid. Twins sila e. Sina Nicholas at Nikolei. They were in their dorm since they're already 20 and in their 3rd year of college. May BEEF kaming tatlo e. Halos ayaw namin mabilin sa isang kwarto. Si Nicholas talaga yung mad kid. 

Anyways, I was stupid enough to forget my son's fourth birthday. I guess I was busy about the upcoming graduation and all the things needed to prepare. It's like the school depends on me. Papeles dito, papeles doon. Ayoko naman madamay si Kana. Stress na siya dahil sa pamilya n'ya. 

"let me guess—you forgot that his birthday is in one month," she pointed at me and gave me a deadly glare. She dragged her thumb on her throat and made an "eekk" sound to let me know that I'm dead. 

"you and your guesses" I let out an exhausting sigh before finishing another paper before my sleepy self took over me. Oo nga naman, nag-request yung dean. Diba? Grabe siya. 

"c'mon, you need sleep," Kana softly stated while looking at my tired face. She silently placed the papers back to my bag and closed my laptop. She guided me back to the couch while she played with my hair.

"ang sabi ko, matulog ka, " inis na sabi niya pero mahina parin ang boses.

"ssshhh, don't say anything,"

Siguro mga 2 hours lang ako nakatulog dahil nagising ako sa malakas na ingay ni Logan. The sound of Logan's cry. I rushed to him and soothed his arm. He just had another injection. Curse those needles. Kana tried to cheer him up by using one of her tricks.

 After we had our dinner, I had already helped him wash himself and change his clothes. I set up the mattress and took a small pillow for me. She was already sleeping right after she washed herself. Buti nalang. 

My mind was filled with a lot of thoughts, including my little fantasy with Cameron. I mean, It's not a crime to dream of something. I smiled at the thought of me and him having a chat. Chat lang naman. Tsaka doon nalang kasi nga I'm already a dad. Siya nalang kasi nagpapasaya sa'kin. I looked at the wall and my surroundings as I tried to think about Logan.

"You know, I was thinking a jungle theme, inspired by Jungle book. We could use green balloons or those satin round ones and satin heart shaped ones, we could hang green and rose gold copper tassel garlands and use forest green and gold round plates," she suggested while looking at the ceiling. I held my chest and let out a sigh when I realized that it was her who was speaking. Akala ko may multo. 

Ay, di pa pala siya tulog. Scammer dude.
