1: A Basic Introduction Of Our Characters

Nikolai's Pov: I slowly wake up to laughter and rocket into a sitting position. I see my twin and one of his friends run out the room. I walk into the bathroom and happily remember it's Sunday, then I look in the mirror and see drawings in permanent marker all over my face. I grab a rag and start scrubbing my face with soap and water. I should really buy a lock for my door soon.

Athen's Pov: "Shit, he almost got us" I say as I run into my room and put some of my movable furniture in front of my door.

"Don't worry about it so much, he won't do anything to you" my friend says Way too calmly.

"He could ruin my whole reputation" I say sitting on my bed.

" He doesn't even go to your school" he says with a smile.

I sigh remembering that he goes to a different school because he is 'smart.' I chuckle a bit "your right"

My friend and I unpause the XBox game we were playing. We play for a while.

" Athen?"

"What Matt?" I say a little annoyed as someone from XBox live shoots me.

"Do you still like her?"

"Ziah?"

"yeah"

" Yeah, why?"

" well, she never talks and always reads, I just think she is more like your brother"

I pause the game and turn to Matt in a angry way. "SHE IS NOT LIKE MY BROTHER, SHE IS MINE."

He sighs and looks at me "your way too protective over this girl, she might not even like guys"

"I know she likes guys" I unpause the game again " she used to date that one kid in 6th grade"

"She isn't 11 anymore. She's a 16 year old, everyone changes"

"She doesn't" I say annoyed at this conversation.

"Oh, but she does" he says back in a teasing voice.

God I wish this conversation would just end.

Nikolai's POV:

"Finally" I mutter to myself as I scrub off the last of the marker. I look around the tiny bathroom and grab a book I hid. I sit on my bed and read the book for the 7th time. It's my favorite book and it will never get old. I read it and as I finish the 5th chapter I revive a text from someone. I turn on my phone and look at the message.

From: 843-6722

Message: Hey, it's Kellie... Do u wanna hang out later, I'm bored and I really wanna hang out with u. Plz text back as soon as possible, I wanna make sure this is the right number.

I sigh knowing that this was probably one of the girls my brother attracted then deserted. I quickly send a reply.

To: 843-6722

Message: Hey, I'm sorry Kellie, but I think you have the wrong number. Are you trying to reach an Athen?

I quickly get a reply.

From: 843-6722

Message: yeah, I am looking for Athen, do you have his number?

To: 843-6722

Message: yeah, I do. His number is 812-5682. I hope this helps.

I shut my phone and continue reading.

Athen's POV:

My phone rings with a text notification. I pause the game and check my phone.

From: 843-6722

Message: <Forward> Hey, it's Kellie... Do u wanna hang out later, I'm bored and I really wanna hang out with u. Plz text back as soon as possible, I wanna make sure this is the right number.

I groan one of my bar gals wants to talk. I sigh and shut my phone and set it on my bed then continue gaming.
