Chief Hill pulls out a small device from a pocket inside his armor. He presses a button then pulls it close to his lips.
"Switch to back-up electricity source. Activate Arena Protocol" Chief Hill said into the device
Suddenly the lights lit up again, even brighter than before. The walls opened up and rotated horizontally, leaving the whole floor looking a like a bunch of dominoes lined up everywhere. The shelves and computers containing important information were lifted up to the floors above. The cells were opened up, and all androids including the three of us were suddenly outfitted with our armors even without pressing our chests twice.
"Angel, check the perimeter take out any incoming assailants. Elliot use your senses to find out who are our intruders inside the building and where they are. Phen, secure Eve on the highest floor, make sure nobody gets near her." Chief Hill commanded
Angel activates her booster and flies out the open window across the hall. The shooter android, or apparently Phen, rushes through a flight of stairs around the edge of the floor. Elliot kneels down, closes his eyes and sets his hands on the floor.
"I sense two intruders, one just leaving the generator room and another running through the access tunnels underground. It's definitely them, sir." Elliot reported.
"Alright then, we have to move quick." Chief Hill said as he waved his two fingers. Kurt and Hazel's magnetic links were suddenly gone. I put my hands forward as I show Chief Hill my still "locked" hands.
"Oh, you have to get it removed by the person who locked them." Chief Hill replied
"Oh, great! This is just great." I said sarcastically
Elliot runs to a nearby wall and opens a panel. He presses a few buttons and an array of supplies are lifted up a chute. Elliot hands over a med kit and a hand gun to Hazel, an automatic rifle to Kurt, and a knife to me.
"Sorry, but that's pretty much the only thing you can use right now with that" Elliot said as he pointed at my hands.
Chief led us to a platform that lowered us to the ground floor. As we arrive, we see that most of the androids are already in position. In the center of the commotion is a young black woman. She seems calm, smiling even, despite having all the guns in the room pointed towards her. The woman adjusts her thick curly hair while staring deeply at Chief Hill.
"What brings you here, A0008?" Chief Hill asked
"Aw Chief, call me Amber, just like old times. Hey Elliot, haven't you missed me?" The woman replied
"Answer the question, Amber. Why are you here?" Elliot said
"We just came to get Eve, that's all" Amber said with a smirk
"With everyone's guns in the room pointed at you, that won't happen. Not a chance." Chief said as he aimed at Amber.
"Wanna bet?" Amber replied as she blasts all the androids in the room in the neck with electricity.
"I just fried all of your EMP chips. They can't stop you now. You're all free to do whatever you want now." Amber proclaimed with a grin
All of the androids seem confused. Everyone looking at each other and then at chief. One android steps forward from the crowd. The android aims her gun at Amber.
"I don't want this. This isn't true freedom! I want freedom in the right wa..." The android is interrupted as she is shot in the head by another android.
The shooting continues between the androids who still side with us and those that have decided to side with the rebels. I rush to bring Hazel and Kurt to the nearest pillar. We crouch down and observe the ensuing battle while Kurt attempts to shoot down some stragglers that have sided with the rebels.
