Chapter 19

Aboard the Millennium Falcon, Rey paced back and forth nervously. Someone in the First Order saw her and Ben together and she wasn't sure that they could be trusted. What if Ben got in trouble because of her? What if someone found out that he killed Snoke?

She took a deep breath and tried to relax, Ben said that he thought peace was possible. Better he had said that even if there couldn't be peace, he would come back to her. She wanted that so badly, she wanted him to come home to his mother, and even more she wanted him to come back for her.

He had seemed surprised and almost relieved when she'd told him about Phasma, she thought. Phasma... she needed to go check on her. She went into the medical bay and went over to Phasma. "How are you doing?"

"Fine not that it concerns you" Phasma answers

"Are you healing well?" Rey asked, ignoring the comment.

"Why do you care so much?" Phasma asked confused

"The First Order isn't evil... they're just people who have been misused. Some of my closest friends were once a part of the First Order, it doesn't matter about the past, I shouldn't treat you any different than anyone else." Rey replied.

Phasma smiled slightly "your just what this war needs"

Rey smiled at her. "I think that there can be peace."

Phasma seemed to ignore what Rey had said "you're not like the resistance or the first order just in between the peace keeper really"

Rey nodded. "That's all I want... peace."

"I think you'll find that's what both sides want just getting it in a different way" Phasma response

Rey nodded. "What do you think of the knew Supreme Leader, B... Kylo Ren?"

"Kylo, strange pick for the new Supreme Leader?" Phasma asked surprised.

"Yes... he is," Rey agreed a little absentmindedly.

"Too young and reckless, general Hux would be better" Phasma says the smallest blush on her face.

Rey nodded. "Yes I don't know much about him, but he seems to have more control of the military."

"He does" Phasma nods "so what do you think of the new Supreme Leader your new biggest enemy?"

"I... he... I don't know him that well, I only hope that he will be more reasonable than Snoke," Rey replied.

"Kylo Ren reasonable, not likely"

"Do you think General Hux would have been more reasonable?" Rey asked curiously, Finn didn't speak highly of the General, but Ben said that he was willing to try to have peace.

"No his loyalty lies with the First Order, a true general" Phasma answered proudly.

Rey nodded, just as she feared. If his loyalties were with the First Order would he ever be willing to let it go so that there could be peace between them.

"I'd be surprised if him and Kylo get anything done now" Phasma said thoughtfully "the general hates him"

Rey nodded. "And do you?"

"Not as much as the general but I don't like him that much"

Rey was growing concerned about Ben, if so many of the members of the First Order didn't like him... and he was probably only respected because he was Snoke's apprentice, and now that Snoke was gone... she wondered if he was safe there. "Does everyone in the First Order dislike him?"

"They fear him, so yeah" Phasma replies

Rey felt a wave of worry wash over her. She knew that Ben was strong and could take care of himself, but he couldn't take on the whole First Order by himself.

Rey shook the thought away and decided to change the subject before she accidentally let her emotions slip. "I have been trying to negotiate with the First Order, and the Supreme Leader, he seemed relieved when he found out that you were still alive."

"Really?" Phasma asked shocked

Rey nodded.

"I wonder why, that's not like him" Phasma continued

"Well, he seemed to think very highly of you, that you were a very important member of the First Order," she replied.

Phasma only looked more confused "he did?"

Rey nodded. "Yes, you must be highly respected."

"Not by him"

Rey shrugged, "perhaps he realized how valuable you were while you were gone."

"Maybe" Phasma answers
