6 Second Fame

Chapter Six

Will was standing there with a single rose.

Will is Hayes’s other brother. He went off to college.

¨What are you doing here Will?¨ I questioned him.

¨Im supposed to give you this.¨ he said handing me the rose. Attached to the rose was a piece of paper. It said:

¨I know you're in love with chinese food,

so go down to you're favorite chinese restaurant to put you in a good mood.¨

I looked up at Will and asked, ¨What is this? Is this some kind of scavenger hunt?¨

¨Im not supposed to say anything. Well goodnight Ms. Willow, I best be on my way.¨ He said walking down the steps.

I got in my golf cart and drove to Yu Tu Food, my favorite chinese restaurant by far!

I walked in and no one was in there except Yu who was the owner of the restaurant. I walked over to him. He too had a rose. He handed it to me, and just like the first, it had a note written on it.

¨I know bugs aren't part of the zoo,

but go there anyway for your next clue.¨

And of course Yu didn't say anything either. Yu was my favorite waiter. I could walk in and say ‘the usual’ and in less than three minutes a big hot bowl of chicken fried rice with a dash of soy sauce would be brought to me.

I continued on my journey,and headed to the zoo. I thought for sure that no one would be there, and I was right. No human was there, but on the sidewalk in front of the zoo, there was a bee with my next clue.

¨Your almost done just head to the house,

of you bestfriend’s mouse.¨

What the heck? I had no idea where to go.

I then I suddenly remembered, Indie had a mouse. Well not a real mouse. but her sister has a stuffed animal that she has always slept with ever since she was a baby. Its name is Miyra. I am not sure how Hayes knows any of this.

I knocked on Indie’s door, but no one answered. Then I remembered that I knew where she hid a house key.

I opened the door and went up to Katherine, Indie’s sister. The mouse was on the bed with a note.

¨This is the last clue,

go to the place where you can see the ocean blue.¨

Thats the beach. We live so close to the beach that we go down there a lot. I used to go down pretty much everyday, but I haven't lately.

I arrived at the pier and looked around for Hayes. Then I saw this figure in the sand and I realized it was Hayes.

I ran down to him and he had set up a picnic. There was pizza, cake, cool-aid, and chips! Yum!

I sat down and on my napkin, there was a puzzle of some sort.

¨Just answer them to the best of your ability.¨ he said.

Who was the first person you saw tonight?______________________

Who was the second person you saw tonight?___________________

What was the bug you came across tonight?_____________________

What was the animal’s name you saw tonight?____________-yra

¨Okay….. These are sorta easy though. I don't know why you're doing this.¨ I said.

¨Just read your answers out.¨ he told me.

¨Okay 1.) Will 2.) Yu 3.) Bee and then number 4.) would be Mi.¨ I said suddenly realizing what was going to happen.

¨Willow Justine Davis, will you do my the honor of being my girlfriend?¨ he said looking me in the eye.

¨I… I uh…. I...¨
