Pyrrha was walking towards the glass window on the airship with a child in her arms. The little boy reached out for the glass, trying to touch it. Pyrrha got close to the glass, and the child put his hand on the window. He looked at Pyrrha and smiled in a goofy way which caused her to giggle.
"So what do you think of the view, y/n?" Pyrrha asked in a soft whisper.
Y/n's eyes went wife with amazement. "Pwitty...like you mommy."
Pyrrha pushes a strand of hair from her son's face. "You are so sweet, I could just gobble you up." Moving close to Y/n, she pretends to eat him saying "om nom nom" earning his loud giggles.
The others look at Pyrrha as if asking what the hell is going on. As they disembark at the courtyard, Pyrrha carries her luggage with Y/n holding her hand with her right hand his Beowolf plushy while he holding his mother's hand. They make it to the auditorium and listen to Ozpin's speech. That night they go to the ballroom. Ruby actually walks up to her and tries to talk to her.
The short ravenette smiled softly and extended a hand. "Hi, I'm Ruby."
Pyrrha smiled warmly before releasing her hold on her luggage to shake the teen's hand. "Pyrrha, Pyrrha Nikos. Pleased to meet your acquaintance." She looks to her son who hides behind her legs. "And this is Y/n, my little goober of a son."
Ruby turns to the boy and kneels in front of him. "He's really cute." Giving a small soft wave, she whispers, "hi. I like your plushy. What's his name?"
Y/n smiles and blurts, "Bobert!"
Ruby giggles and stands up. "What kind of Faunus is he?"
Pyrrha shifts a little. "Beowolf."
Ruby was ecstatic, surprising the young Nikos. "Really? That is so cool! I thought Grimm Faunus were extremely rare."
Pyrrha breathed a mental sigh of relief. "They are, but his father ran off before we could have a proper test and whatnot."
"Oh. Sorry. I didn't mean to bring up bad memories."
"It's quite alright. You didn't know."
Ruby smiled. "Well, I think you're really lucky. Anyway, would you like to be friends?
Pyrrha looks to her son. "What do you think, Y/n?"
Y/n nods with excessive joy, almost bouncing up and down.
Pyrrha smiles, turning to the gothic rose. "He says it's okay."
Ruby threw her hands into the air with a loud "WHOO HOO", earning a giggle from the mom and her little one.
"I'll see you during the initiation!" The ravenette exclaimed before running off.
Pyrrha gave a soft wave. "Bye."
Y/n turned to his mother, confused. "Initiation?" Tilting his head in curiosity, his ears twitched. "What that?"
Pyrrha bends down to Y/n's level. "It's a really big test for us grownups."
Y/n's eyes widened. "Oh. Come back?"
Pyrrha chuckles. "Yes."
Y/n uses the puppy eyes while holding a fedora in his hands. "Pwomise?"
Pyrrha nodded. "Promise."
Carrying Y/n into a unisex changing room, Pyrrha helps him into his Potato Bob pajamas. Afterwards, she starts changing while her son is occupied by his plushy. Upon leaving the changing room, Y/n rushes towards their sleeping bag. Feeling a sense of pride for her baby boy, she can only smile when she watches him hide inside the sleeping back before she gets there.
Pyrrha shakes her head. "Come on, Y/n."
The little tyke sticks his head out only a bit keeping the blanket over his nose as he giggles. Pyrrha rolls her eyes, amused by her son's adorable antics. Pyrrha places their previous outfits in a black bag before she climbs into the sleeping bag. Laying her head on her pillow, she watches Y/n squirm a little, snuggling up to her. As she gently starts to stroke his ears, she starts to sing a song while thinking about Y/n's father.
Imagine Pyrrha singing it.
The young Nikos's eyes tear up by the soft reminder that her boyfriend was gone. It was their go-to song whenever they'd felt overwhelmed by society and it's issues.
"Ok, mommy?" Y/n asked softly.
Pyrrha froze for a second before wiping away the tears. "Yes, sweetie. Mommy was just thinking about daddy."
Y/n's face lit up with a smile. "Really?"
Pyrrha's heart broke as she heard those words come out of Y/n's mouth. She wanted to tell her son about his father's fate, but she didn't want to remind him of the source of his sorrow nor the accident that brought it all upon their loving family.
Pyrrha brushed a bit of hair from her face and caressed Y/n's cheek. "No, but he's in a better place."
"Papaw?" Y/n asked hopefully.
"Mhm."
Not long after did Y/n hear a group of girls shouting. Sitting up, he rubbed his eyes a little and looked over to the candle lit corner. Sitting up on her arms, she turns to the group of girls only feet away.
"Whatcha lookin at, kiddo?"
"Pretty lady."
Pyrrha noticed that among the girls was Ruby, a girl she'd met earlier that day. With a soft groan, she stood up, picked up her little shortstack, and carried him over to the group.
"Excuse me. Is something wrong?"
"Is something wrong?" The white haired woman turned to the gothic rose and asked. "I don't know. Is there something wrong?"
Ruby didn't answer.
"Well, if there's nothing wrong, could you please keep it down. If I don't get him to sleep now, he won't want to get up tomorrow."
The white haired woman opened her mouth to speak only to close it and storm off with a huff.
"Thank you," Ruby whispered.
"You're quite welcome. Now, I have to get this little cookie monster to bed. Good night."
"Good night."
"Huggies?" Y/n asked, reaching out toward Ruby.
"Um...what does mommy say?"
Pyrrha raised an eyebrow before giving a nod. After Ruby gave Y/n a hug, the small ginger said, "Night, night, pretty lady."
Ruby blushed a little at the compliment before Pyrrha walked away.
Yang snickered before a pilllow hit her face and the candle went out.
