A year has passed and Zayn and Harry officially meet again, after months of inconsistent visits and endless all night FaceTime calls. Harry is finally home without his home, staying at Zayn's house for their second official summer together.
Things have changed, obviously as they should, but Zayn just wants to hold onto how it used to be and savour the past whereas Harry would much rather grasp onto the future with open arms.
Through unexpected visits, big decisions and meeting in the middle, Zayn and Harry only know two things.
1) Harry will always feel more than a friendship with Zayn
2) Pins and needles become infinite
During what seems to be their last summer, the two venture on. Late-night car rides, visiting Zayn at work and dips in the pool in his backyard at sunrise guide the two to hold on as they dig through the rubble of the bridges they once let collapse, keeping in mind that they will always have each other.

Author's Note: Hi guys. It's been so long. How are you all? I've missed you so much.
I started writing this in January of 2020 with the expectation to publish it right away. I didn't feel like it was ready and thought it was in need of dire change even though I had mapped out over ten chapters & multiple storylines.
Today, I feel like I should stop worrying about how perfect it can be, and focus on what you all have been waiting for. Whoever decides to click on this and take the time out of their day to read it, I will be forever grateful. I can't promise you guys that I will have weekly and frequent updates on this story; I just felt as though these few chapters were better in your hands than my drafts.
I hope you are all doing well, to anyone who stuck around, let me know, I would LOVE to talk to you guys.
