Wow, my head is killing me. What am I laying on? When did I fall asleep? Where am I?
I force my eyes to shoot open but they quickly shut when I see the light coming through my curtains. When did I get home? How did I get home?
My attempt at standing up is stopped by the arms of somebody around me. Oh god. I take a second and realize I'm no longer in the black shirt I was in last night. I'm instead in a plain black shirt.
This is not good. I look at the hands and arms of the person around me and quickly notice the tattoo of a bird on his hand and a K with a heart under it on his ring finger.
Taylor.
"No no no," I say out loud in utter fear of what might have happened last night. I really blacked out. My mind instantly drifts to Collins. As cliche as it sounds, I wanted to save myself for him. I know, stupid. But that might be all ruined now because I decided to get blackout drunk.
"You okay?" I hear Taylor's voice causing me to let out a scream. When he loosens his grip I stumble to try and stand. "Calm down, Sarah. It's just me."
"What happened last night?" I say looking at him as he sits up in my bed. He's shirtless which I guess answers whose shirt I was wearing.
When he doesn't answer and looks down blushing I almost scream. "Please tell me that we didn't-"
"No no no, it was nothing like that Sarah. I wouldn't take advantage of you like that," he says quickly running a hand through his hair.
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and run my fingers through my hair as well. "Oh thank god." My words seem to hurt Taylor a little so I try to fix it. "I mean like not that you're not great just that we don't really know each other that well."
"Yeah no, I get it."
"So how did I end up in your shirt?" I ask the question I've been trying to figure out.
"You don't remember anything?" he says, blushing again.
I shake my head.
He sighs. "Well, after we danced a little more and I got you a drink we uh, we kissed." No. No please tell me it's not true. "But nothing more than that Sarah I promise."
I can feel the blood rushing to my face at his words. And out of sheer embarrassment for not remembering any of this.
"Then you kinda spilled a drink on yourself. Hence, why you're wearing my shirt. Then I brought you home to try and keep you out of trouble. Now here we are."
"So nothing else happened?"
He clears his throat. "No."
His phone pings from my dresser and he reaches for it. "Oh shoot," he says standing up quickly from my bed.
"What?"
"I'm supposed to be at the airport in like an hour for our flight to Cabo. I wish you were going with us, Sarah. It's gonna be a lot of fun."
I shrug, remembering when Melissa invited me on their little summer trip. "It's fine, and besides a plane ticket to Cabo is expensive."
He laughs lightly.
"Uhm," I say remembering that I was in his shirt. "Did you need this back?"
"Yeah kind of, I don't really have any other shirts."
"Right," I say, before peeling the shirt off to switch to one of the shirts I had sitting on the floor. I throw Taylor his shirt and laugh when it hits him in the face.
He throws the shirt on and smiles at me. "I should go, but I had fun last night."
"I would say me too but I don't remember half of it."
We both laugh and he turns to leave. "Hey, Taylor. Thank you, for taking care of me."
"Anytime."
With that, he left my room. Once I hear my front door close I let out one of the loudest screams ever. I can't believe I kissed Taylor. I feel so bad, what about Collins.
Collins.
Right, he's not mine. I'm allowed to do what I want, just like he is. At least that's what I'm going to keep telling myself.
That doesn't help the ache in your heart.
I miss him. I miss him so much it hurts. With the headache I have right now, all I want to do is cuddle up with him and watch TVD. I miss the way he would kiss my head when he thought I was asleep. I miss those gorgeous blue orbs, I miss his smile. I miss his laugh.
I think I'm gonna be sick.
Drinking: Not the best idea. On the list of 'Things to Never Do Again.'
