Gypsy skipped down the stone path to her home. She had just finished collecting the eggs like her mother had asked. She opened the door to their small cottage and walked inside, peeking into the kitchen. "Mom? I'm hooome."

"Gypsy, darling, we are in the bedroom. Please come here for a moment." Her mother had called to her. The house was so small that they could hear each other perfetly fine even if the person was just whispering.

"Coming, momma." Gypsy placed the basket of eggs down on the kitchen counter then walked into her parents' room, peaking in curiously. "Yes, momma? Yes, papa?"

Her father patted the bed beside him. "Come sit down beside us. We need to talk," he sighed.

Gypsy walked nervously over to her parents, seeing their sad and worried faces. She jumped up on the bed and looked up at her father. "What's going on?" She asked worriedly.

Grace wrapped her arms around her daughter and hugged her close, looking down at her.  "A very close friend of mine has passed away. You're father and I are going to the funeral but we need you to stay here and look after the animals. I hate the idea of leaving you here all alone but we have no choice." She looked into her daughter's eyes pleadingly. "Promise me you will not use your powers and that you will come straight home and stay here after you have finished your chores at the castle."

"No fair! How come I can't my powers?" Gypsy pouted up at them.

"Because it is dangerous for you to use them unsupervised and you could get caught using them. You know how humans feel about our kind, Gypsy. Promise me you will not use them." Her mother stared into her eyes, begging her to obey her.

Gypsy huffed as she looked away, crossing her arms over her chest grumpily. "Fine. I promise."

Grace hugged her daughter tightly and kissed her head lovingly. "Thank you, sweetheart."

Elberon looked down at his daughter and rubbed her head gently. "We will be gone for about a week. It'll take a few days to get there and back plus we will be staying the night with the family after the funeral before coming home. They will need the company." He picked his daughter up in his massive arms, hugging her close to his chest. "I will miss you baby girl. Be safe. Anna will be coming by tomorrow to bring you some food back from the market."

"Why can't Anna stay the night with me or I stay with her?"

"Because Anna has children and animals of her own to take care of and I do not want you riding by yourself.  You could get robbed or kidnapped." Elberon frowned at the idea of his daughter being taken from him. It had taken him and Grace years to have a child and he was not about to lose the only one he had.

Gypsy hugged Elberon. "Okay, Daddy."

Elberon hugged her back then placed Gypsy on her feet before standing and helping Grace up off the bed. He looked to his wife and smiled sadly. "Ready to go?"

Grace hugged Gypsy one last time before looking to Elberon and nodding. "Yes, I'm ready."

"I already have the horses hooked up to the cart and the cart packed with everything we need." Elberon took Grace's hand and led her to the door. He opened the door for her and held it open.

Grace smiled  up at her husband and kissed his lips. "Why thank you." She walked out the door and walked to the horses, petting their soft velvety noses. "Ready to go, Jazz?" She smied brightly at the sorrel horse then looked over at the palomino. "How about you, T-Boy?" The horse sniffed her hand for treats. "Sorry, no treats. I'll give you both something later just do not tell Elberon," she said jokingly.

Elberon appeared behind Grace, pulling the unexpected woman against him with his arms around her waist. "What are they not suppose to tell me?" he growled playfully in her ear.

Grace squeaked when he snuck up behind her and pulled her close. She shut her eyes, shuddering as her husband, whispered with his deep voice, in her ear. "Nooothing."

"You sure about that? Do I need to foce the answer out of you~" he purred and started kissing her neck before turning gRace around and pinning her up against the cart.

Grace giggled, blushing slightly. She kissed elberon deeply. She could feel one of his calloused moving up under her dress towards her thigh.

Gypsy walked outside to watch her parents leave. As soon as she got outside her mouth dropped open at what she saw. "Ewwwww!" She quickly covered her eyes  and turned away.

Both Elberon's and Grace's eyes grew big and they instantly moved away from each other. Grace quickly straightened her hair while Elberon straightened his shirt.

Elberon turned to Gypsy, his face red. "Umm...er...Your mother thought something flew up her dress um..so she wanted me to check."

Grace blushed. "Yes, you're father is correct."

Gypsy turned to them and tilted her head to the side in confusion. "Why were you kissing then?"

'Dang that girl doesn't let anything get past her,' Elberon thought. "She was scared so I was distracting her while I checked."

"Oh." Gypsy smiled. "So was there anything down there?"

"No," he said then looked to Grace. "We should get going."

Grace nodded and looked to Gypsy. "Bye sweetheart. We love you."

"I love you too, mom and dad." Gypsy watched as her parents both got into the cart and headed off down the dirt road that led to their house. She watched them until they were out of sight.
