Third Person's POV

“Tanjiro, I am so nervous!” Zenitsu cried. It's been two years since Zenitsu and (y/n) started dating. The blonde boy is sure that she really is the one he'll marry. The problem is, he's too scared to ask her for a marriage.

It is not like in the past where he begs a cute random girl for marrying him. This situation is diferrent because he sincerely loved (y/n). Their relationship is going smoothly, they have quarrel sometimes but they end up forgiving each other. Zenitsu felt more than happy with her on his side.

“I know you can do it, Zenitsu. I mean, you confessed to her two years ago and started dating. You can do it all over again.”

“No, (y/n) is the one who confessed to me. I didn't said anything except I love her, then I asked her out.”

“Why don't you say your repressed confession and propose to her?”

“Will you help me?”

“Of course.”

You are waiting for Zenitsu to go home but it is getting late. You and Zenitsu started living together. He finally arrived in your house. He silently took his way towards your room as he failed to notice your presence.

“Where have you been?”

Zenitsu shrieked at your question, startled. “(Y/n)-chan, I thought you are asleep already.”

“You didn't answer my question.”

“I did something with Tanjiro, we had a hard time doing it that's why I got home this late.”

Zenitsu darted his gaze everywhere, except you. He is not lying, he asked Tanjiro to buy a ring with him for the proposal. He didn't know if what kind of ring will he buy. He definitely had a hard time picking the right ring. Tanjiro suggested to pick a simple one because the design doesn't really matter. The important thing is, he will propose to you but the blonde boy insisted. He managed to buy a ring but forgot to track the time. He thought that it is also a chance to hide the ring from you but to his surprise, you waited for him to arrive.

“What did you two do?” (Y/n) asked as she got more suspicious on his actions.

“W-We went on a quick mission.” He's wishing that you'll buy his lie.

“You must be tired. Are you hungry? You can eat the food I cooked earlier. We can sleep if you are really tired.”

He sighed in relief. “Let's just rest, I want to cuddle you.”

You went to the bed with him. He's hugging you on his back with his arm wrapped around your waist. You always love the warmth he's giving. You faced him and gave him a peck on his lips.

“I love you, Zenitsu.”

“I love you too, (y/n).”

“(Y/n)-chan!” Zenitsu screamed as he saw the demon strangling your neck.

He's late, the demon have slashed you. He used his breathing technique and killed the demon who've hurted you. His hands are cold but he can feel his sweat forming. He went near to (y/n) and felt horrified as he saw your body lying in your own pool of blood. He didn't hesitate to run to you and hold your hand. Tears streamed down from his eyes. This can't be happening.
