the sobs from her room conveyed how much the breakup hurt her, but he didn't seem to make an effort to go back in there and tell her everything would be alright. he has been doing this to girls left and right and everytime he does it, more weight adds on to his shoulders. but he's used to it.

he picked up his pace as soon as the front door was in sight, in hopes to get as far away as possible from the girl whos heart he has broken. he never wished to be the one to break her heart, but he knew this day would come. he's done this so many times but why did it feel like this time was different? "you're silly," his subconscience said as he unlocked his car and stepped inside, "she isn't much different from all the other girls you've been with."

backing out of her driveway, he stopped to take one more glance at the house that contains all the happy memories. and that was the worst mistake hes ever made. it was the last time he'd see the girl he unknowingly gave his heart to.
