It's a chilly fall afternoon and Kris just got out of school. Since it was Friday, he decided to got to the river near the eastern part of the town. Kris wasn't really worried about getting in trouble because he already told his mother, Toriel if he could have some extra time out after school. She said yes, and told him when she expects him home. Normally while doing something like this, he'd bring Susie along, but she was out of town for family business.
On his way, Kris came to a crosswalk. As he waited there, he suddenly noticed a familiar face. It was Noelle. It wasn't long before she noticed him too, and decided to strike up a conversation."Hey kris! You did really well on your portfolio project."
"Gee, thanks. You too." replied Kris.
Noelle giggles quietly and continues what she was going to say, "Oh, and by the way, what are you planning to do for the weekend? My mom and I are going to a rock climbing gym not too far south from here."
Kris nodded, "Wow, that actually sounds really cool! To be honest, I really have no idea what I'm gonna be doing. Eh, I'll come up with something."
"Oh, ok. See ya later Kris!" replied Noelle.
"Alright, bye!"
With the conversation over, they both set off on their own ways. It wasn't long before Kris arrived at the river. He sat down on a nearby bench, set his book bag beside him, and laid down.
Many thoughts were going through his head, most of which were about the Darkworld. Some were new, but there were still some that lingered in his head about the events that unfolded about a month ago. Why him? Why Susie? What if the entrance never even showed up in the first place? Would the king still be in power, or would there be some kind of rebellion to overthrow the king of Susie and him never arrived? What if... the entrance stopped working?
Now that was a thought that kris never liked one bit, and he never seemed to get it out of his head. Then, he began to think about all of the wonderful people he met down there. Lancer, Rouxls Kaard, Seam,... and Ralsei.
Kris doesn't know why, but Ralsei just seemed to stick out more than the others. It's just his kind nature and his positive outlook on life that he deeply admires. And when he has to leave him, it pains him. It really does. To him, it feels as if someone is slowly driving a nail through his heart. And when he was with him, he felt like every moment was the best time of his life.
Kris can't help but think to himself, "Is this love that I'm feeling? Well, I'm not really a love expert, but these recent feelings I've been having towards him really convince me that I am."
Kris sat there, dangling his left leg off the side of the bench while making his new plans for the weekend. He then looked at his phone to check the time. It's 4:45, and Toriel is expecting him to be home by five.
So he gets up, grabs his belongings, and heads home. Once he arrives at his doorstep, he checks his phone to make sure he arrived on time, It's 4:57. Kris lets out a relieved sigh, "Phew, at least I made it in time."
As he walks in, he's quickly greeted by his mother."Good afternoon darling," says Toriel, "How was your day?"
"It went well, I got an 86 on my portfolio project." replied Kris
"Oh, Ms. Alphys already told me about that. Great job!"
"Hm, thanks!"
Kris turned away to go upstairs and put his book bag in his closet. While he was up there, he turned to look at Asriel's side of the room. He sighed and said to himself, "Still miss ya, big guy."
Then, Kris felt like he was on an empty stomach. He went downstairs and asked his mom what they were having for dinner. And yet again, it was one of those snail-based dishes that Toriel seemed to be slightly obsessed with. Kris never really enjoyed those kinds of food, but he ate them anyways to not disappoint her. So in about a few minutes, she took the food out of the oven, cut out two slices, and brought them to the table. While they both eat, Kris finally decided to speak."Hey, uhh, I'm gonna go visit my friend for a while tomorrow, is that ok with you?"
Over the past three or four times Kris has been to the Darkworld, he made up a little cover-story so that Toriel or anybody else won't get suspicious.
Toriel turns to look at him, "Sure sweetie! I wasn't really planning anything besides setting up activities for my class next week.
"Alright, thanks mom!" replied Kris,
"Any time Kris, any time."
After dinner, Kris went back up to his room to text Susie. He turned on his phone, opened the messages app, and switched over to Susie's contact.
