J'amais VU

Chapter 1

Frank is a mild mannered father of a young daughter, Iris, and loving husband to Judith of 10 years. Born on August 31st, 1920 his childhood was that of any other child born in the era. Poor, but didn't let that get in the way of making something of himself. He was from a suburb of Detroit, MI and while his family struggled financially he made sure to help the family in any way he could being so young. He felt that he was best suited to ultimately help his family was to join the ARMY and work hard to reach the rank of Lieutenant in just a few years.

1948 was a year that had for the most part been quiet around the world , and because of this he had decided he was ready to retire until he received a call from his superiors that there is conflicts initiating in a part of the world he was familiar with. The Korean peninsula. The Cold War had begun and startling conflicts over land was starting to become an issue as Russia and China were claiming the territory north of 38 degrees parallel. The Southern peninsula was under UN territory and predominantly the United States of America and its allies.

With tensions building between the North and South, Frank was called in with his company to take up a command of unified forces in South Korea, and with his knowledge and experience in the region he was the perfect man for the job. Upon arrival he was attached to a small unit of 7 local fighters known by their self proclaimed nickname. Bangtan Sonyeondon or translated to Bulletproof boy scouts or BTS for short.

The group comprised of Commander Kim, the brains of the unit, Lt. Commander Jin, the military strategist. Lt. Min, the genius. Lt. Hoseok, the sunshine of the rag tag unit. Park Jimin, the perfectionist. Kim Taehyung, the jokester, and finally Jeon Jungkook, the good at everything member of the unit. With the coming together of the two groups, they were seeming to get along so well and were soon sharing stories about their lives and what was important to each person and soon bonds were becoming stronger than ever.

June of 1950 was a harrowing time for all involved as there have been warnings that the Chinese government had began attempting to invade the southern peninsula and our unit was on the front lines and not properly notified that an attack was imminent.

April 11th of 1951 signified the beginning of the attack from the north and completely caught our heroes off guard. Orders were soon coming in to start taking up defensive posture at all times and the base was in constant General Quarters status fearing an impending attack.

Bullets started flying around the barracks and bombs were going off in the distance, they realized that they no longer had communications with the command and they were on their own, taking up our defensive positions in preparation for what was to shortly come.

Lt. Frank and Commander Kim were in the office preparing a plan of action, when suddenly windows started to shatter all around them due to bullets flying through the windows and bombs going off around the barracks. Worried for their men that were under heavy fire both men carefully made their way into the living quarters where everyone had taken up positions. Luckily no one had been injured in the firefight but tensions were definitely getting high as they could hear the enemy getting closer and closer.

Lt. Frank carefully moved to another location to see if he could get a better look at the enemies position, but took heavy fire and had been hit a number of times and was slowly starting to fade because of the pain he was in and started to lose consciousness. As he was about to hit the floor he heard Commander give orders to FIRE, and Lt. Frank was now completely passed out.

Chapter 2

Feeling hands pushing on his back excitedly, Frank slowly opens his eyes groggily but in pain from his sudden fall to the ground. With his eyes fully open he realizes he is no longer in the barracks anymore and the hands he felt pushing him are too small to be anyone from his company or Bangtan Unit.
