Chapter 1

~Reader's POV~

I opened my (e/c) eyes. The feeling of dread took over my body as I take in my surroundings. Finding myself in a white room with no window, tied down to a bed, and an IV hooked up on my right hand.

..what's going on?.....where the hell am I?.....where's (F/Name)?.....

{Flashback}
~25 days ago~

"What store should we go to next?" I asked (F/Name) as we exit out of Bath and Body works.

"Let's see ....how about Barnes and Noble?" she suggests while adjusting her hold of the bag with our purchase.

"Sounds good. We should hit the lego store too before we meet up with our folks," I told her. Pushing my wheelchair towards our next destination, staying by her side. Thinking ahead of what other gift items to purchase for Christmas.

Suddenly a rumble can be felt from the floor as part of the mall's ceiling collapsed about ten feet away from where we are. A man stood tall in that exact spot. I noticed the man's skin is as white as snow, part of his brain exposed. His white wings spread out right before he yelled out in rage.

"Run!" Someone yelled out as everyone, including myself and (F/Name), started to get away from the villain.

(F/Name) and I took off, going as fast as we can out of the mall.

"Where's a hero when we need one!?!" I yelled before (F/Name) held the door for me to the parking lot and slammed it shut behind her.

~3rd POV~

Just when (Name) and (F/Name) got into the parking lot. A black van pulls up behind them. One of the people in the vehicle knocks (F/Name) out by the back of her head, takes (Name), and speeds off from the mall. The trail running cold to find the sped off black van. Making this the 20th case in (U.S. State) when someone disappears and gets kidnapped during a villain attack. Same emo. Different villains attack or rampage at different locations throughout the United States. In total there are over 300 cold cases.

{End Flashback}
~Reader's POV~

The door opens, creaking for only a few seconds before the door stopped. A man in a white lab coat, messy blond hair, and emerald green eyes came into the room. With a couple other people in lab coats following him with a medical tray, both of them female.

The emerald eyed man took notice that I was awake and gave me a half smile.

"I see your awake" he says in a British accent. He walks over to me and takes my pulse from my left wrist. Nodding to himself as he pays attention to his wristwatch on his non-dominant hand.

"Your vital signs are good," he tells me. Pulling out a pen light and shines the light in front of my eyes.

"Hmm….. I'll let the others in charge know your awak-"

"Well? Is the subject awake?" a black haired female asked dressed in light blue scrubs. 

….subject!?!?......where exactly the fuck am I?......

"Yes she's awak-"

"Good we need to start with the next set of tests since the subject is responding well with the first quirk injection" she interrupts him again.
