"Get down here you little bitch!" My dad thundered I wimper like a caged dog in his presence,I turn and see my mom,nursing a cut on her forehead,oh no! I quickly run to her,"mom are you okay"I wisper,hoping he's to drunk to listen"yeah,I'm okay,but you can't grow up in a life like this,were running away, tonight!" She says a determined twinkle in her dead colbalt blue eyes. Later that night,when we're about to make our escape,I see my dad,standing by the door holding a gun,shit!"Sarah, Celeste,where do you two think your going?"he asks sounding alarmingly sober"w-w-we were g-going out t-to the store?"I say,but it comes out more as a question,my dad walks over and grabs my chin in his hands and squeezing it painfully"what did I say about mumbling,slut" he yells I look down and answer,"to not do it,sir" I answer respectfully, next thing I know my mom yells"run Celeste" and she tackles him to the ground but gets pushed off if him and he starts beating her,and takes out a gun"I should have gotten rid of you a while ago,bitch"and next thing I know,my mom gets shot in the stomach and drops by my feet while my dad sprints out the door my feet are planted to the floor for a moment,but I quickly Sprint to her side and drop to my knees, taking her hand,"no,no,mom,mommy please stay with me,you can't leave me alone in this world with dad"I cry,she laughs and smiles at me,growing paler by the minute"did I ever tell you why I named you Celeste,"she asks,I nod my head no,concentating on stopping the blood" no well it was because when I saw you for the first time,I fell in love and you brought me so much love and light,I love you my little lightbringer"she said,and my mother took her last breath"no,no,no mommy,comon it's not funny, please please please,wake up"I cry a police officer takes me in her arms"sh,honey,she's gone"she said"no,no she'll wake up in a minute,she'll be fine,she can't leave me here"I cry panic setting in as I realize my mother just died in my arms.end of memory
