Asuna's P.O.V

The rest of the week flew by and it wasn't long before it was Friday and school was almost out for the weekend. My week was hectic. Between Monday and Friday, I got asked out by about 50 different guys. It was horrible! I couldn't even get to class without at least one guy walking up to me and asking me out. Some of them were really persistent and asked me out on a daily basis even though I denied them every time.

Friday morning; Before the bell went

I was chatting with the girls as usual, talking about the usual gossip like boys and makeup etc when another guy walked up to me and tapped me on the shoulder. I turned only to see my friend Rin blushing, staring at me.

"Hey Asuna, I was thinking... Would you like to go out sometime?" He mumbled. I froze... I looked around at the girls for help but they all avoided meeting my eyes as the laughed silently to themselves. I facepalmed myself in my head. Rin was a close friend of mine but I clearly didn't have the same feels for him that he did for me. A I saw him as was a friend. 'Asuna, you idiot ' I thought to myself. 'You should have seen this coming and dodged it'. I didn't want to hurt his feelings so I decided that I, being the good friend that I was, would give it to him straight.

"Sorry Rin, but I'm just not ready or interested in dating any guys right now," I cringed.

"O-oh really?!" He stuttered. "I'm so sorry, please forgive me forgive me forgive me! He bowed frantically. "I didn't mean to be weird or anything! It just kinda came out!"

"Oh it's fine Rin, really", I comforted him. He smiled apologetically at me and then went back to his friends. The second he left Liz, Keiko and Sinon burst out laughing. Even Suguha smiled teasing as she looked at me.

"Asuna the heartbreaker," Liz teased me immediately.

"Oh y-you should... have seen the look.. on her face!!" Keiko joined in. "It was priceless!!"

I pouted, "You know, next time why don't you try being the one that has to deny every boy that tries to get with you. Honestly, it's so tiring." I moaned.

"Don't worry Asuna, I had the same problem the week before you came in to the school," Alice sympathized as she glanced at the boys, "Eventually, they learn,"

"Yeah Alice but your case was never this bad," Suguha spoke up. "I mean come on you guys, she has a fan club!"

"HUH, FAN WHAT?!?!" I shrieked.

"Don't tell me you didn't notice Asuna. I mean come on...." Sinon giggled.

" Yeah and besides, why wouldn't you just agree to go out on a date with one of them anyway," Liz asked. "Some of them are actually hot decent guys you know, I would definitely take advantage of that."

"And THAT'S the difference between us Liz," I teased.

"Heyyy!! That's kinda mean!"

I shrugged, "Payback is a biaatch, isn't she?"

"Okayyyy I kinda deserved that..." She agreed.

Later on in that day, Liz suggested that we go to a cafe on Saturday for some girl time. Apparently she was good friends with the owner and she got a special discount for herself and anyone else she brought with her so we all agreed to go. Of course I still had to ask my mom for permission and I was scared to... I eventually did when I came home that evening and surprisingly, she said yes.
"Just be back before dinner. There's another suitor that's coming today..." I didn't hear what she said after that. I was too excited by the fact that she let me go and I didn't want to have sudden good mood fouled by a conversation with her, so I ran upstairs as I fast as I could, went to my room, and messaged my friends to tell them I could go.
