Sniper sat in his van, sipping at his coffee, enjoying the lonely silence. Sniper wasn't the type to hang out with the rest of the team-
Meow.
He preferred to stay in his van, away from the loud men-
Meow.
That live in the RED base. He hated some of them than others, specifically the louder ones like soldier or scout, and he also hated-
Meow.
the spy. He always hated how he could be everywhere but nowhere at once-
Meow.
Sniper stood up and put his mug down, finally having enough of the persistent meowing from outside.
He walked over to the van's door and opened it, glancing downwards to see a small, skinny, orange tabby-cat.
It was midnight, the moon was shining brightly, almost annoyingly over the cat's features. Small nose, skinny face (for cat standards), and most prominent, it's skinny form. The cat turned it's head upwards and walked up to Sniper's legs.
Sniper furrowed his brow in confusion and stared down at the thing. It was skinny enough to look like a stray, and there wasn't civilization for miles, coupled with no collar, which meant it was most likely a stray. Unless one of his co-workers, the mercenaries, had gotten a cat without him knowing.
The runt rubbed it's head against his shins and purred, looking up at the sniper with it's big, blue eyes.
Sniper sighed and let the cat in, it looked desperate for a meal.
The cat trotted in quickly, and the sniper closed the door behind it.
The cat meow'd softly as a "thank you" and sniper chuckled at it.
The tabby looked around curiously, before trotting over to the small minifridge and sat down in front of it. The cat turned his head and looked up at Sniper, practically begging.
The tall man sighed and walked over to the stray, opening the fridge and looking around before pulling out some lunch-meat. He opened the package and closed the fridge simultaneously, taking a slice of turkey out and setting it in front of the orange pest.
The cat became ecstatic and quickly began to eat the slice of poultry. It finished quickly, and the sniper pat it's head afterwards.
"You're a cute lil' thing, arent'cha?"
"Meow."
"It looks like you haven't eaten in a while."
"Meow."
Sniper chuckled and scratched the cat's cheek. It purred happily and closed its eyes, turning it's head so the sniper could pet it easier.
Sniper glanced down at his watch and realized how late it was, almost 1 am already. He sighed and looked around, realizing it wouldn't be THAT bad if he left the little bugger in his van overnight.
"Night, y'little wankah."
He smiled and pat the cat once more before walking over to the elevated bed, climbing up the ladder with ease and laying down. He quickly fell asleep.
