Angel Dust sighed heavily as he descended the stairs with an unsure and contemplative expression with both sets of hands behind his back. He hadn't slept very well the night before as his boyfriend hadn't returned to the suite. For the last couple of weeks they had been 'living together' in the spider demon's hotel room and he never went to sleep until Husk came in after shutting the bar downstairs. Angel had grown so accustomed to having the large demon cat share a bed with him that he just hadn't been able to relax at all without him. It had felt just like it had before they had even become a couple all those weeks ago, Angel felt anxious and unnerved. He had waited up for as long as he physically could but when sleep took him it was broken and disturbed as every slight noise would wake him with the slight hope it had been his boyfriend returning. Only it turned out to be Fat Nuggets moving around he would slump back feeling distraught, empty and alone once more struggling to drift off without his lover's comforting presence..
His thoughts seemed to fall completely apart when he heard the familiar gruff voice of Husk, who appeared to be in the middle of an irritable rant.
"—It might not be my building but this is still my bar! I don't need you telling me how to run it, I've been running it for over forty years.." As Angel hurried into the front bar feeling some elation in knowing that his boyfriend was here and well but also curious as to why he hadn't come to their room. When he finally turned around the corner of the front desk he found Vaggie standing in front of Husk, hands on hips.
"Alright, alright.. I get it. I was just asking if you needed anything ordered, that's all.." The grey-skinned moth demon held up her hands in defeat as she sighed, not intending to offend him.
"It's already taken care of. Some associates are having it brought over later.." Husk replied unconcerned, moving behind the bar when his glance spotted Angel lurking behind them.
"Oh.." Vaggie blinked her one orange sclera eye with light yellow colour by her pupil. "What associates?" She looked somewhat wary as she moved her weight from one hip to the other.
"Just contacts of mine, don't worry about it.." The demon cat drawled flippantly as he began mixing a drink for his boyfriend with a somewhat exhausted look to his aged white- furred face, looking like he too had struggled to sleep.
"This is legal, right?" Vaggie added kinking a brow, not wanting any criminals showing up at their door.
"Sure, why not?" Husk drawled shrugging unconcerned. Wether this satisfied the slim moth demon dressed in white with grey stockings was unclear but she turned away knowing she wouldn't get any more out of him. Angel knew first had just how hard it could be to to get information out of his boyfriend. He always kept his cards close to his chest. The spider demon often had to use his wiles to seduce answers out of him, something that had only started working after Husk became comfortable enough their relationship to allow it.
"Hey mi amore.." Angel cooed softly as he settled himself down in his usual bar stool right opposite his boyfriend his usual whiskey mixer was placed in front of him since the demon cat didn't need to know what he wanted anymore. "Ya lookin' as rough as I feel.." He added with a soft voice looking both curious and pityingly at the same time.
"Yeh, sorry I didn't come to the room. It was real early when I turned in, I didn't wanna disturb you so I slept in my old bed. Hmh, if you can call it sleep, I've had to get up early and take care of stock.." Husk responded leaning on the bar and rubbing his eyes with one hand looking and sounding too exhausted to fight about this issue.
"Yeh, see? This is why ya should have a Hellphone. So ya can just text an' tell me this stuff. I really missed ya, I ain't slept much either.." Angel replied with an undertone of urgency, this was not the first time he had tried to coax his boyfriend into getting a Hellphone but his response was always the same.
