This is a Fanfiction i wrote about Season 0 Yuugi and Yami, i apologize for grammar mistakes (i am from Germany XD)
I rarely find ffs about these guys so i thought i would write one myself! I hope you enjoy this Oneshot.

Yuugi layed sweat covered in his bed, twisting and turning with a pain filled expression on his face. His small fists clenched the dark blue bedsheets.

*Dream*
"Please Yami Stop.....it hurts so much ... Why are you doing this other me?" Yuugi cried out as another punch hit him in the face causing his already swollen lip to bleed even more. "No reason .... Well i just want you to suffer because you are so weak and pathedic, you can't do anything on your own ....No one needs you but most importantly nobody wants you" Yami said with an evil laugh. Yuugis violet eyes widened in horror at these words and he started crying harder than before. "NO please other me ...I t-thought we were friends ...y-you don't mean that right? D-do you?" he stuttered in fear. Yami just grinned, the horus eye glowing on his forehead. He hit Yuugi again and kicked him in his ribs. While laughing insane he grabbed a knife and everything went black.
*Dream ends*

Yuugi shot up from his nightmare He was panting heavily and drenched in sweat. He looked around to see his other half next to him sleeping peacefully. At first he flinched at the sight of his Yami but then he sighed.

/What a Nightmare/ the younger one thought carefully trying to block those thoughts from the mind link he shared with his other self. But apperantly it was too late.

After a few minutes the Pharaoh began to stirr and opened his sharp, crimson red eyes. He looked at his Hikari with a sleepy look. "Yuugi ? What is wrong? why are you not sleeping?". The little Boy jumped at the sudden deep voice beside him. He had been thinking about the nightmare, about what yami had said and if that was real. "W-what did you say?" Yuugi asked after he could trust his voice again. The taller one raised an eyebrow at that reaction and answered "I was wondering why you aren't asleep because it's already 1 am in the morning ... So what's the matter Aibou?". Yuugis eyes began to water at this nickname and so he just broke down in tears sobbing hard after trying to pretend like nothing happend. Yami watched with wide eyes and pulled his partner close to his muscular chest trying his best to calm him down.

He was getting even more worried as his Aibou started having trouble breathing because of crying so much.
"Shhh... Aibou shhh... Calm down i'm here...why are you so sad? Did i do something wrong? ... please Hikari you need to calm yourself or you will pass out" Yami said with a voice filled with concern, trying to sooth Yuugi by rubbing his back gently. After a while Yuugi began to notice the pharaohs hand on his back and started to calm down. That wasn't the evil Spirit he had dreamed of, No this Spirit was caring, lovely and gentle. This one had no hint of violence at all. This Yami wouldn't want to kill Yuugi with a knife. Having flashbacks of the dream, Yuugi began to shiver badly. "Yuugi are you okay? Please tell me what's wrong i want to help you" his other half said very worried and hugged him tight. The boy wanted to tell the Spirit what happend but he couldn't trust his voice. So instead of using his messed up voice he let his thoughts slip through the mind link they shared.

/ I... I was having this N-nightmare but i don't know if i should tell y-you/
( Aibou ...I'm here for you... Please tell me what scared you so much)
/ Well o-okay uhm... So I was walking home from school when you came out of the Puzzle and started to go insane. You were saying that no one wants me and nobody needs me and that i am a weak pathedic person. You just wanted me to suffer and then ...the horus eye appeared at your forehead. Then you grabbed a knife and everything went black/

Yami watched in horror as his partner started to sob and shiver again. He couldn't believe what he just heard.
He felt a strong pain in his chest and felt like crying as well. His Aibou having a dream like this was making him feel guilty and angry at himself

( Aibou ....i am so sorry)

The Spirit pulled Yuugi into a big hug and put a hand to his partners cheek, rubbing it silently. Tear filled sharp crimson eyes met gentle violet.

/ Mou hitori no boku... Are you really crying?/
( Of course i am little One, please know that i would never do such madness to you... I am so sorry about whatever i have done to make you have such a terrible nightmare Yuugi. I could never do these things or insult such a wonderful person like you. Please don't believe this. I love you so much Hikari, i really do) Yami whispered holding Yuugi close to his chest, not wanting to let go of him.
Taking a deep breath Yuugi enjoyed the affection his other half was giving him and he snuggled into the taller ones embrace.
/ I love you too Mou hitori no boku/

Now the little boy knew that it was just a dream for sure, he felt safe now.

/ Thank you Yami ...for always holding me in your arms and protecting me with your love now i really know that it was just dream and i am glad you are just insane towards people who hurt me/
(Aibou i will always protect you, you are the most important Person in my life)
/I Love you more than anything in this world Mou hitori no boku/

The Spirit smiled and pressed his lips gently against his partners. Yuugi blushed but kissed back and they shared a long and deep, sweet kiss. That night Yuugi had another dream, but this one was different. This one was a dream about being together with his other half until the end and it was the best dream he could have asked for.
And he knew when he would wake up in the morning his beloved Pharaoh would be holding him close not letting him go.
