Hello everyone!
I am back with another update for Agathe!
I believe I am going to be sticking with the format that is presented in this section.
I will be doing updates every other day from now on.
The issue with this is that the sections will be a little bit shorter, 5-10 pages each update.
Hope you all enjoy, please feel free to contact me on any of my social media!
INT. AGATHE's SHED
AGATHE rips open the door of her shed to see a small man, HARRY, standing in the corner looking through blueprints. The tangled mess of the pipes and string has been transformed into an awesome exoskeleton in the shape of a half spider.
HARRY
Well, your mother wasn't joking. These plans are exquisite.
AGATHE eyes the crossbow that she rigged up at the top of the shed. She eyes the string she needs to pull to activate it. It's too far away.
HARRY
I decommissioned the crossbow.
AGATHE looks to the side of the shed to the other crossbow.
HARRY (CONT'D)
Both crossbows.
AGATHE
Who are you?
HARRY
I am just an innocent commoner who came to inspect some of your designs. And improve some.
AGATHE looks at the amazing exoskeleton.
AGATHE
How'd you make that?
HARRY
Isn't it incredible what you can create if you have decent materials?
HARRY turns around, his face is burnt on half the side of his face. He had brown hair which had some singed off. He was not the best looking.
HARRY (CONT'D)
And I must say, some of your architectural designs are impressive.
AGATHE
What are you?
HARRY
I have one of those long God names, so most people just call me HARRY.
AGATHE
You're a God?
HARRY
Yes, ma'am. And I have a proposition for you.
HARRY turns around and looks at more blueprints.
HARRY
I would like to challenge you to a build off.
AGATHE
UM. Why?
HARRY
Because, your mom said your inventions could rival those built by the gods. So, I'm here.
AGATHE
I'm not interested in being an ego-padder.
HARRY
Oh please, it's not like you would lose anything if you don't win. But if you do win.
He turns around and addresses her.
HARRY
I will put a portal in here for you to come to my forge anytime you want. I must say, my forge is much better than this.
HARRY looks around the dingy walls.
HARRY (CONT'D)
What do you call this?
AGATHE
It's a shed.
HARRY
Okay, better than, your shed.
AGATHE
Just because a commoner was proud of her daughter?
HARRY
Olympus isn't as amazing as you all must think.
HARRY looks at the blueprints again.
HARRY(contd)
Okay I am going to make this real simple for you because I can already tell you love asking questions... This challenge is not optional. And to be honest I am slightly disrespected, I really thought you'd be excited for this opportunity.
AGATHE
How could I be excited, when you come to my shed unannounced and unwanted.
HARRY frowns, picks up every blueprint roll and raises his hand. A bright red portal opens up in front of their eyes.
HARRY snaps his finger. They teleport through the portal.
EXT. VOLCANO - DAY
They come to a whirring stop in a metal forge next to lava and machinery. It was the inside of a volcano.
Many small goblins with great big ears and brown cloaks walk around preparing swords and other weapons. Metal machines make noises as waterfalls of lava pour into them and all around the machines.
AGATHE
No wonder you have a big ego.
HARRY
AGATHE, I'd like to welcome you to my forge.
She begins to look around at everything. Her face of annoyance turns into one of admiration.
AGATHE
So, if I win, I get this forge?
HARRY
You get access to it, you don't receive it, I can't just get rid of it, I'd be eaten alive.
AGATHE ponders over it.
AGATHE
What's the project?
HARRY bestows a huge smile that creeps around his face, it's unsettling.
HARRY
Since we aren't in your...
puts airquotes.
HARRY(cont'd)
"Shed" You may choose from one of your blueprints.
AGATHE walks over to the blueprints and thumbs through them.
HARRY(cont'd)
Your best chance of winning is choosing architecture. That is my weakest area.
AGATHE points to the blueprint for "Temple of Athena". HARRY looks over.
HARRY(cont'd)
All right. Let's do this.
He smiles again. Throws open another portal and walks through it.
