As we continued to wait there in the tavern, the other patrons starting to have the same bored look as I did, I had suddenly heard the sounds of a nearby door opening as I saw a bunch of male and female elves appear.

'Woah...' I thought in absolute awe as their more than gorgeous faces made me blush so much that I thought I would pass out.

"Welcome to the Buttermilk everyone! We're sorry we kept you waiting!" Giggled one of the elves, her words causing the once quiet tavern to erupt in cheer and praise before the group got to work of grabbing drinks, serving up different types of food and scooting in to sit next to their patrons.

Elves...they were just like my expectations but even better! They all, except for a few, had long flowing hair that ranged from platinum blond to a scarlet red and even more colors! The elves also wore gorgeous robes that ranged from black, gold and even more while they sported different types of intricate designs. And their skin...it was flawless and almost seemed to glow radiantly. They were beautiful as expected but...one thing did make me tilt my head a little, however. They all had strange red markings on their necks.

'If there is a god though...thank you!' I thought with a small squeal as a pair of elves sat on either side of me, a grin on each of their faces.

"Such a pretty young lady! It's not every day we have a noble girl in our midst!" Giggled one of the elves, his high-pitched voice fitting his overall cute form as he wrapped poured some honey milk into a cup.

"Agreed." Said the other one, his voice much deeper as his stormy grey eyes looked me up and down.

"Though...it is strange though, usually only old rich men and women come into this tavern." He continued, his words making me raise a brow.

Old, rich people? Strange markings? Maybe I'm looking too much into it but...this entire place is starting to seem a bit shady. Then again, if it were, Ares most likely wouldn't have brought me here.

"Don't say that Darion!" Gasped the high-pitched elf as he reached over and gave his friend a smack on the shoulder with a scolding look.

"You'll scare our dear customers away! You know we have rent to pay for this place!" He laughed as I downed my milk, the man almost immediately filling it back up while I grinned stupidly and relaxed.

"Ah...this is the best night of my life!" I cheered, relishing in the feeling of being surrounded by such good-looking people.

"Such a happy lady she is!" Giggled one of the elven women on Ares' side.

"Are you her servant?" She asked, Ares taking a swig of his beer before shaking his head.

"No, merely guarding her." He sighed as they then looked at him strangely.

"How interesting...I've never heard a centaur serving a human before!"

"It's a strange world out there! Though, not too strange when I'm in here though." I laughed, a small chuckle coming from the other elf woman before she sighed.

"Tell us about yourselves then! You can't possibly drink without talking about yourselves a little!" She said, finishing up my milk as I then quickly obliged.

After all, it was a bar! You tend to spill some details about yourself when you're having fun!

"We're from a goblin town about two days away from here." I explained.

"Oh? A goblin town? Such lowly monsters they are...whoever the Chieftain is must be quite wise to do such a feat!" The elven woman laughed.

"Not to mention proud, to have a noble human girl in their midst...they should be considered superior over the other goblin clans." Darion said with a playful smirk before sending me a wink.

Ah...how hot guys and girls make my heart swoon! I let out a small chuckle. "I am the Chieftain." I said with a small smile, the elves letting out gasps of surprise.

"Really?! A human girl ruling over a goblin village?!"

"Calm yourself Atal." Darion scolded with a huff, Atal rolling his eyes before he suddenly started to cuddle even closer to me.

"Please take me to your village then human Chieftess! Working in this tavern is quite dull at times." He continued as he hugged me, my cheeks growing hotter by the second as I started to stumble over my eyes.

"I-I..."

"We can't, we are here on a mission." Ares interrupted.

"We do not have time to bring back a bunch of elves with us." He stated bluntly before the sounds of disappointment started to rise.

I narrowed my eyes at him, we had the time and we definitely had the room! He probably just didn't want to carry more people than he needed to, the lazy centaur!

"Ares-"

He glared daggers at me immediately, telling me that I was best to keep quiet unless I wanted trouble.

"The centaur is right." Darion said, breaking the tense silence.

"Do not bother customers with the thoughts of bringing us along with them."

"But Darin, we need to-"

Suddenly the elf had glared at his colleague, his eyes now a raging storm as Atal was soon forced into being quiet. As the table went silent, my mind tempting me to say something to break it. Ares was, surprisingly, the one to suggest something.

"How about a drinking game? Whoever wins gets 1000 gold coin." Ares offered with a rare proud smirk as he held his mug high up into the air.

I was shocked, Ares was never the type to show any type of emotion accept grumpiness or annoyance but actual arrogance? Ha! The beer must've finally gotten to his head.

"Ares, we are not betting 1000 gold-"

Suddenly my table burst into cheer, all of the elves soon looking at Darion.

"You're the best drinker in here Darion! You can do this!" Giggled one of the elven women before Atal suddenly stood up from his seat.

"Come over everyone, a drinking game is about to start!" He announced, everyone in the tavern erupting with drunken excitement as they made their way over. Some of them were even daring to already start placing their bets!

'Eh, if you can't beat 'em, join em.' I thought with a chuckle before I started to cheer along with the crowd.

"You can do this Ares! Give me something to brag about!" I laughed, the sound of a bell ringing officially starting the game.

Both men were pretty evenly built, this game had to be won or...I was going to be 1000 gold coins in debt! Not that I didn't owe a few dollars to some people in my old world though.

As Ares and Darion guzzled down drink after drink, the sounds of the mugs hitting the table, people betting on who would win and elves rushing in and out of the kitchen to get more booze. I couldn't help but get happier and happier at the sight! I didn't know if it was the overall happy mood of the tavern that inspired me to get excited or the smell of the liquor starting to make me dizzy. All I knew was that I absolutely loving this! As long as I was the one sitting back and wasn't the one getting the extreme hangover at the end of all this then I was perfectly fine.
