The moment before you are so hungry that your abdomen goes numb
That surprising feeling of fullness
The kind that feels like nauseousness
But doesn't make you vomitThe moment when the dry summer air gets in your lungs
That feeling like they are about to burst
The kind of pressure caused by heat
But that doesn't cause any damageThe feeling before you present a make-or-break grade
That chance to gain or lose it all
The uncaring eyes of peers across the room
But your gut says they are judgingThe stillness of your heart in your chest
That overinflated balloon
The feeling making you breath twice as much
But not supplying any additional oxygen.
