*Cher's Prov*
So okay, today starts like any other day for me. Another beautiful day in sunny Beverly Hills, with only a five percent smog alert. I had just woken up to pick out my outfit for today. Since it was Friday, i knew i had to pick out something upbeat and fresh, but also perfect to blend in with the welcoming of Autumn finally stepping in stone. I picked out the perfect outfit! I wore my nude colored plaid long sleeved tee and paired it with my nude colored skirt and topped it off with a nude colored jacket and knee high socks to go with my little black Mary Janes. All courtesy of none other then Dolce & Gabbana of course. And of course, a match side purse to go with it. (The strap of the purse is black by the way) it was the perfect outfit for a day filled with learning that screamed "A woman prepared for business." But not only that, it was the perfect outfit for the perfect occasion. Because after school, my boyfriend/former ex step nightmare Josh, would finally be returning from his foreign trip down under. (Down Under being Australia. That was something i ended up learning all by myself by looking it up in one of daddy's books in his office. Had to give myself major snaps for that one!) Just incase you needed to be caught up on the 411, Josh is my forever soulmate/boyfriend. He used to be my stepbrother, but my dad (a totally prominent attorney) and his mom Gail divorced each other when we were kids. Even so, Josh still stuck around. We had a pretty rocky patch up until last year when i turned sixteen and suddenly i realized, i actually love the big baldwin after years of resentful behavior. Since then, we've been inseparable soulmates. At least when he isn't leaving Beverly Hills and our only form of communication is by phone and fax. It's been an entire month of pure heinous agony as he and his environmentalists club from his college have all gone and left to study the life of marine biology. As jealous as i am that cute little dolphins get to see Josh while i can't, the wait has been worth it. Because the minute the bell rings and i get to leave school, i'll be racing straight to the airport to finally give him the great big hug and kiss i've been saving up for him since. I've already had the entire thing planned out on my mind since the month began, but first thing's first, school. Well... first i have to get ready /for/ school, and then i get through the day's hard work just in time to see Josh. Once i had finally gotten myself prepared, i had sprayed on my new Chanel perfume as the finishing touch. I did however make sure to stash it into my purse for later. It always makes me sad knowing that perfume doesn't actually last long upon your body, which is why you should always keep it with you wherever you go. But you don't want to spray too much, especially if the smell isn't really strong. Less is more. And more should always be less. Once i had gotten myself ready, i made my way on over downstairs and straight to the kitchen. Every morning, i always manage to wake up and help Lucy, our maid (Who is from El Salvador, in case you were wondering like i did a while back) fix up breakfast. Always something healthy especially since daddy isn't really a fan of eating healthy, so i have to be really persistent with him before he makes his way out. Sometimes he'll yell things like "Forget it!" or a hard "No!" and simply make his way out of the house and then proceeds to say he'll stick to coffee in the house. Daddy can be pretty hard headed, especially when it comes to eating the right balanced meals for his health, and sometimes i tend to question if he'll ever just give up and stop giving me such a hard time about his health. But in the end, i know it's all worth it. This morning, Lucy and i were able to pack daddy a healthy lunch filled with fiber, although she always preferred me personally handing him his lunch rather than the other way around. Daddy has always had a tendency to come off as big and scary, which is one of the many reasons why he's so successful at his job. It also helps that he's a New York native, born and raised. With Lucy though, she bolts and leaves skid marks the minute she sees him. Sometimes daddy even tends to forget that she's around whenever i bring her up, which is why it's always me who has to remind him to file her paycheck every two weeks. The minute Lucy heard the door from the upstairs hall, she quickly left the kitchen while i was happily pouring daddy a quick glass of OJ as he entered the kitchen. "Daddy!" I said enthusiastically, greeting him with a big smile while slowly rising up the glass which perfectly displayed the sunny side juice.
"Cher, i don't wanna hear it!" He dismissed to which i sighed and walked around him quickly to stop him from leaving before eating. "Daddy, you can't go to the office without breakfast. It's the most important meal of the day. And besides, your usual blend of coffee mixed with cream and sugar, is so not in the zone!" I said with the shake of the head.
"Coffee gives me energy, whereas juice only makes my mouth less dry. Forget it!" He stammered.
"Fine, but you're at least eating the lunch Lucy and i made you, right?" I asked.
"If it's edible and i can actually digest it, yes."
"Good!! And don't forget, Doctor Lovett is coming by for your end of the month blood pressure test. Which i'm not going to be here for because-" Daddy immediately cut me off.
"I know i know!! You'll be picking up Josh right after school, you've been going on about it this entire week. Make sure you don't get any tickets on the road, and be sure to let Josh take the wheel the moment you pick him up. Do you understand, young lady?" Daddy said pointing his finger at me.
I put the glass of OJ down and placed both of my hands neatly upon his tie to fix it before giving him a soft smile and looking him directly in the eyes. "Yes, daddy." I said happily.
"Good! And i'm not taking the juice." He replied before storming off. My smile immediately dropping and transforming into a frown.
"Daddy!!!"
