Part 6: The King and Queen of Crystal City

(Guards board Sinbad's boat)

Sinbad: What's going on here?

Guard#1: You're all under arrest.

Sinbad: What?! On what charge?!

Guard#1: Kidnapping the Princess of Crystal City.

Oliver: Wait, what?! The Princess of Crystal City?! You mean the bandit that tried to steal Sinbad's money bag named Odette is actually the Princess of Crystal city?!

Guard#2: Bandit?! How dare you! The Princess is not a bandit! She is next in line to the throne and she is arranged to be married to the Prince of Ruby Town. Take them away.

(Odette walks up to the guards)

Odette: Unhand them!

Guard#1: Your majesty!

(He bows)

Odette: They didn't kidnap me, they were helping me. Now do as I ordered.

Guard#1: I'm sorry your majesty, but we can't do that. Your parents told us to arrest them.

Odette: Then let me talk to them.

Guard#1: Yes, your majesty.

(Odette looks at Sinbad)

Odette (mouths): I'm sorry.

(The guards take Odette, Sinbad, Oliver, and Rat to the other boat)

(Guard#2 takes Odette to see her parents)

Odette: Hello mother, hello father.

The Queen: Odette! My beautiful girl.

The King: Where have you been?

Odette: Hiding. .from you.

The Queen: But why?

Odette: Because you were forcing me to marry my friend that I consider to be a brother. Not a mate. I don't love him like that. He also doesn't want to marry me. We both want to marry for love, and we are not in love.

(Pause)

The King: Then you won't marry him.

The Queen: What?! No! My King, you can't do this.

Odette: Yes he can mother!

The Queen: No. You are born to be the greatest Queen of Crystal City and of Ruby Town.

Odette: No I wasn't. I was born to be me, not to be you, why can't you see that. Now please, let them go. They didn't kidnap me.

The King: We will. Release the prisoners!

Guard#2: Yes your majesty.

Odette: Thank you.

The Queen: Wait Ralph.

Odette: Mom, what are you doing?

The Queen: First, I want to know if you'll come home. Cause if you don't, then we'll force you.

The King: Ashley, what are you doing?!

Ashley: Getting our daughter back.

Odette: You're never going to get me back like that.

The King: She's right.

Ashley: I don't care. I need to know. Are you coming home?

(Short pause)

Odette: No.

Ashley: Then you leave me no choice. Ralph, put Odette in the cells with the other prisoners.

Ralph: As you wish your highness.

Odette: No!

(Ralph and Guard#3 takes Odette to the brig)

Odette: No!!!

The King: You shouldn't have done that. I promised our daughter that she wouldn't have to marry Brett. Why did you do that?

Ashley: Because Amelia and Fredrick told me too.

The King: What?!

(Fredrick's laugh echos)

(Fredrick appears)

Fredrick: Hello King Liam.

Liam: Fredrick. Release my wife from your power.

Fredrick: Never.

(Fredrick laughs and grabs Ashley)

Fredrick: You can keep Sinbad and his men. Including your daughter. But I will come back to destroy you all.

(Fredrick laughs and disappears with Ashley)

Liam: Ashley! No!

Ralph: Don't worry your majesty, we will find her.

Liam: No. Bring my daughter and her friends to me.

Ralph: As you wish your majesty.
