Omegaverse with a huge twist!

What if I had told you that the evolution into the wolves was not as beautiful as it has been told in the stories that you've read, the evolution of humanity turning into wolves was a global devastation that they're still trying to recover from, today's humanity still doesn't know how to control their wolf. Humanity has no control when they're in their wolf form yet, and shifting never happens in their control either. The wolf has too much power over the person that they inhabit, the wolf is testing the human that they are one with. Shifting seems to come in waves, the first was in the beginning of the 2000s. A year later 10% of the population shifted and is in progress of learning how to shift back.

Do you have the power to control the wild beast?

There is only a handful of people of that has taken control of their wolf more quickly than the rest of humanity, and they can be counted on two hands. The first person ever to control their wolf was very surprising to not only the government but to his friend group as well.

Lance McClain, current head alpha in the entire world. He was given the title by his wolf, since he has been the fastest to take control of his wolf and learn how to shift back into his human form. Everyone has noticed the physical and mental change in Lance, he was more taller and he has a bigger build. He matured but he is still a child at heart, he really knows how to help people shift back. He's currently training the other alphas that he knows how to help people in the other sanctuaries.

People who are shifted and who don't have control of their wolf, they are usually feral and waiting for an Alpha's command. They were put into large sanctuaries in hopes to give them help. Although it isn't very humane, they need to keep the feral wolves away from the people until they can shift back. Lance has helped over 300 people shift back on his own, the alphas that shifted he trains so they can help people shift back on the other sides of the world. Which he's very much praised for his work, its's the biggest accomplishment in this era.

The second to shift back is Takashi Shirogane, he is the second alpha that assists Lance helping people shift back. Shiro himself helped almost 200 people. He is also training alphas as well, even though they're training alphas, they're training betas and omegas as well.

Omegas have the upper hand just as much as alphas do. Depending on who helps the people when they shift back, alphas usually help other alphas and omegas usually help other omegas. Betas also help other betas, and it's been proven that betas is more common than alphas and omegas. Everyone one of them are being trained and the numbers of everyone shifting back is increasing immensely.

The third, fourth, fifth, six, seventh and eighth people to shift of the first people to ever shift back are the following; Katie Holt, a beta. Hunk Garret, a beta. Adam Wright, an omega. Katie's father, who's an alpha. James Griffin, an alpha. Veronica McClain, an alpha.

Many of their family members are still stuck in their wolf form and they're all trying their best to help their families.

Everyone believed that they were the brightest people in North America for being one of the first few to shift back, and knowing how to control their wolf. Which they all are, they are the very smart people, they all attend the space academy called the Garrison.

But this story isn't about the origin of our second sex, this is a story about how Lance discovers something about their second identity that is very new information.

Mates.

Lance is currently running through the sanctuary that he's stationed at, he slows down his pace when he smells a sweet aroma near buy and he slowly approaches the direction of the wolf. He shifts in human form and the wolf hiding also shifts and he peaks through the bushes. "Keith?" Lance says in shock, suddenly he feels very possessive of him right now. "If you can shift back? Why haven't you head to camp? We could of helped!" Lance growls and Keith falls to his knees, Lance reaches and catches him, he brings him into an embrace. Suddenly Keith feels very safe in Lance's arms. "I didn't shift because I wanted to, Luna shifted me back because you were coming." Keith shivers and Lance feels Keith's heat radiating off of him. His smell attacking his lungs and he feels very aroused by his scent. "Luna?" Lance manages to get out, Keith hugs him tighter and nods, "She's the one that created the omega, she is the head omega." Lance then feels his wolf trying to contact him.
