The first day

"Ahhh!" I yawn. Gosh I'm so tired! Why do I have to be in high school already! "Rise and shine sleepyhead!" My rude brother Josh has to interrupt me. "Ugh! Go away!" I don't really want to talk to anyone right now! I'm so tired!! I get up and change into my best outfit to look like I could be a popular girl, crop top, high waisted jeans, and high top Nike sneakers. I curl my hair like I used to do in my old school. Ugh! I forgot I have to put on my glasses! Oh well....... I make myself some eggs and toast. "Kaylee your going to be late!!" My mom screams to me. "School doesn't start till forty minutes!" I'm so frustrated in my mom, she never let's me read peacefully. "You have to ride the bus! Its coming in like five minutes!" What!? Now I have to ride the bus!! Great! "How do I get there!" I get up quickly and pack my books, computer, paper, and pencils. "Go out the back door turn left go strait and pass two rights then make a right! There should be a bus stop sign" great! Now I have to ride the bus where I don't know where it is because my mom gives horrible directions! I walk out the back door and turn left. I pass one right turn. I stop. Wait...... Where am I? I'm new to this neighborhood and I'm going random places. Now I'm lost......I turn the second right I see. I look around and see no one waiting for any bus, just houses! I wonder where Josh went? I see the bus drive by. "Wait!" I run and try to catch up. It stops. I run on. "You should hurry up and get to the right place on time!" The bus driver says. "Mind telling me where it is?" I am so confused. "Its the next block up." The driver que's me to the back of the bus to sit down in an empty seat. I start walking down. My hair a mess, my checks cold and red, my scared face, my glasses, and my ugly crop top. I thought I had a beautiful crop top but turns out no one likes it. Everybody is staring. I walk to the back. Ugh my brother is back here too...... AND WITH ALL HIS FRIENDS! That's just great. "Nice workout!" My brother mocks me. "Shut up! I bet you can't do better!" I sit down. I hear whispering from back there. They are probably doing it about me. I'm just going to ignore it. I feel a tug on my hair then *snip* then my hair is loose again. I look back to find then holding a huge chunk of my hair. "AHHHHHH!" I scream super loud. Everyone looks back and sees the back of my hair gone. I put my hand on it. I grab a rubber band and tie my hair in a pony tail. It kinda covers it up but its the best I can do. I hate my brother and now I'm just humiliated in front of everyone. When we stop at the school to get off. I let everyone pass me so I can get off last. "Don't let them get to you." The old bus driver says. I walk in the school and have no idea were I'm going. I find a map on the wall. "Mmmmm......uhh...... Lockers!" I yell. Oops another mess up...... But with more people! Ugh! I walk to locker 596. Well I guess this is my locker........... I put my backpack away and start unpacking things. My book falls. I reach down to grab it. I feel more loose air on my back and part of my butt. No! I quickly grab my book. My pants aren't high waisted! I look around. I hope no one saw that! I put everything away and grab my binder. I walk to the map again and figure out were the Language arts class is. I walk upstairs and turn right. My class is right there. I walk in to find a old lady sitting on a chair at her desk. A paper on the projector shows. Its a seating chart! I sit at the back next to a....... Girl, few! I sit down. My chair makes a loud. "SCREEeeeech!" A few kids look back but the teacher doesn't seem to care. I set my binder down. A girl walks in and sits next to me. "Hi! I'm your table mate! Or.... Whatever you call it..." She has a smile on her face. Maybe not everyone is evil in this school. She has dark brown eyes and black hair. She has glasses too. She puts out her hand for me to shake it. "I'm May." I shake her hand. "Ehem!" The teacher looks back at us. The class late bell rings. "Today we will tell everyone out names then say something about yourself. Tomorrow we are doing a small essay on it." I already don't like this. "And we will present it in front of the class." She looks at me. Why does everyone think I'm scared? I just get picked on and fail at some things but I'm not scared of them! A girl stands up. "Hi I'm Julia......... And I don't really care." She sits down and puts three peaces of gum in her mouth. "Hi I'm Lake. I like to skateboard." He sits down. As people go by I'm thinking of what to say about me. When it comes to me I awkwardly am staring at the floor. "Umm miss." I look up. There talking to me! I stand up. "Mmmmm. Hi I'm...... Kaylee" I'm so scared if everyone laughs at me. "And I umm I like to........ Read?" Everyone is wispering. I go to sit down. I don't feel my chair under me. I fall to the ground and bump my head on someone's desk. "Owww!" I yell. Everyone starts laughing at me, even my teacher. I thought they were supposed to be supportive. I get up and find my chair and sat in it. After a few classes of laughing at me school is finally over. I see May walking out of the school doors. "Wait!" I run to catch up. May looks back. "Oh hi!" We start walking together. "Hi may!" I don't know why I wanted to talk to her but I just felt like I need someone to accompany me. "How was you day?" I feel like saying good but I don't really want to lie. "Mmmm, OK I guess." She looks at me in a weird way. "I guess the first day of school isn't always so great." I think she's true especially for someone like me. "Yeah and when you are such a nerd and don't know how to do anything right it seems. Well...... I have you." I feel like I can trust her a little more now that we have talked. "Well thanks. And you............. You can do almost everything right." I smile and she smiles back. "Well this is were we part! I drive home." If I wasn't so clumsy I would have a drivers license too. Sadly I take the bus. I walk on the bus that I was on this morning. A few people look at me then start talking again. I sit near the front so when it's my stop I can quickly get off no hesitations. The bus is almost empty so we had to wait for people to get on. When everyone has got on a girl walks to the back. "All the seats are full!" She yells to the bus driver. "Not all." He looks at me. "You can sit with Kaylee." I didn't want anyone so I have no troubles but I guess this is what I get. "Ugh!" She comes to the front of the bus and sits down next to me. "If I end up sick tomorrow it's your fault! This girl is seriously contagious!" She sits at the end of the seat almost off of it and I sit next to the wall. She looks at me in disgust. I mimic her and she gives me a weird death stare, I roll my eyes. "Tomorrow after school...." She whispers, "it's going down." I don't really care about what she says she's just a waist of my time. I have the third stop. She has the first! She gets off and brushes her self off. "Maybe you should get on the bus faster so you don't have to sit next to me." I say. She rolls her eyes then gets off. I sit on my own. When it's my stop I get off quick and walk home fast so I can take shelter and not have anyone around me. I walk inside. "How was your day of school honey?" I give her a thumbs up then walk upstairs to my room then sit down on my bed. I think for a second on what should I do with my hair. I cut the rest of it off. Its short but cute. I wonder what my mom will think. Its to about my shoulders. I feel as I need to tell my mom what my brother did but that means he will Get big payback. He will almost kill me in a second! I really hope tomorrow is a better day. I go and eat dinner. My mom notices my hair. I just say that I went to a barber shop and got it chopped off because I wanted to. She gladly doesn't gets mad at me. I see my brother smirking down from the stair rails. I go and get in my pajamas. I look up at the life-like sky from my nightlight. I think about the day....... Tomorrow will be a better day. I slowly close my eyes and fall into a deep sleep.
