prom night

"you look amazing!" hana blurted out as she saw her date in her dress.

her date being brigitte lindholm, which surprised everyone. the two were opposites from first glance of their personalities and appearance. brigitte was a tall, muscular ginger with a pale, freckle covered body. hana on the other hand, was a tanner slim, short with brown hair. for personalities, brig was an athletic sportsman with a dream to work as a mechanic. hana was a gamer, as well as a small streamer on the Internet. these two seemed to have not so much in common.

but, they did have a lot- and by a lot i mean a lot in common.

"thank you— but you look really good!"

the girls had both gotten ready at brigitte's, due to her parents giving the okay the first time it was mentioned. her mother and father were incredibly supportive of their relationship- so, they couldn't deny the request.

"thank you," hana said with a grin, looking down at her own small weak pink dress. they had went to match, brig going with a weak blue. the pastel colours mixed well- and had been planned by hana. so, she was pretty proud of herself.

torbjorn and ingrid couldn't but then take only a few pictures of the two girls at the front door, also a picture with the sign brigitte had used to ask hana out. "oh my baby is all grown up," torbjorn spoke, faking to wipe a tear which made the whole group chuckle. "i really hope you girls have a good time and call us if you need anything, really," ingrid instructed, hugging the two girls quickly only to join torbjorn to wave the two off.

"im still driving us."
"oh cmon, why can't i drive?"
"i don't want to die before we have our dance."
"so i can drive us home?"
"no."

the drive wasn't quiet. not at all. first, they talked about the dance and how only one of them actually had been to a dance, second they talked about the others going- and third, hana put on music.

arriving at the dance was something- and a little awkward. the line had actually been giant. getting in sucked, but, soon enough brigitte and hana made it inside. first, they approached lùcio and genji, then, fareeha and angela, then hanzo and jesse then finally jamison and mako. it was nice to see everyone, all having a good time. it wasn't long until brigitte, hana, genji, lùcio and jamison all got photos together. hana was at the front, genji and lùcio next, then jamie and finally brig at the back.

after leaving the group, hana and brigitte headed over to get a few drinks. fruit punch is what it seemed to be- and it was surprisingly good for the school's normal quality. music was playing, people were talking, pairs were dancing. it was all okay, all happy and nothing was wrong.

well, until a slow dance song was put on. everyone seemed to know what to do. hana grabbed brigitte's hand, "come on!" she smiled, reaching for shoulder.

"are you planning to lead?"
"it would be a bit hard brig, you are a giant. literally."

the tall woman smiled, reaching for hana's hip which made the girls cheek's flush. they danced a bit slower than everyone else, taking their time due to not being so experienced in the way.

a few people stood to the side, those few being jamison and mako due to room and also how they just wanted to talk- and give eachother a few pecks on the cheek. it was pretty adorable. another couple was sombra and ameile- as they were only going as 'friends' due to ameile's very stern words.

but, as they danced- they spoke to one another. "you are really good at this," brig spoke, getting a smile as a reply from hana. "thank you, but so are you! i never knew you knew how to."

as the song seemed to be coming to an end, the two began to slow and only stare into each other's eyes. it got slower.. and slower.

until hana had made a move, her hand finding its way from her date's shoulder to her cheek.

slowly..

their lips met, a soft and gentle touch of lips only for a few seconds even though it felt like forever. they pulled away both with smiles. it had been an amazing night.
