My Love 

 

You ready to go?? we are going to be late!” I yelled to Heather. It was 5:00 and the concert started at 7:30.

“yup just want to make sure I look great!” she replied, in her usual cheerful tone. I could not believe we were going to see the 5 loves-of-my-life in person. I messed with my hair while looking in the mirror one more time, and I have to admit it looked alright for once. I grabbed the keys, Heather ran towards me, and we walked to the car. The second I started it up she yelped.

“What??”

“We are on our way! I cant believe we are going to see them!” Heather replied.

We arrived at the venue half an hour early and they still hadn't started letting people in. So hundreds of girls packed like sardines were waiting outside. Every few minutes there were sudden bursts of “What Makes You Beautiful” or “One Thing”, etc. I looked around and could not believe we had scored seats in front of all these people! It suddenly hit me that it would be certain that I would touch either Harry's, Louis', Niall's, Zayn's, or Liam's hand! I should probably just say now, I have been absolutely, definitely, positively, unquestionably, no strings attached, beyond any doubt, unconditionally, head-over-heals in love with Liam Payne ever since I saw his first audition as a 14 year old on the X-factor. I remember the exact moment when I left the TV on and walked away, when suddenly an angelic voice filled my ears singing “Fly Me To The Moon”. Then I saw his face and it was icing on the cake with his talent. Heather felt the exact same way about Niall, so we always imagined double dating together:) We suddenly heard screaming and everybody started packing in even tighter. They finally opened the doors! We made our way up to the front, got our bags checked, our tickets scanned, and we were in! We decided to get water before heading in to our seats because it was about 95 degrees out. I felt so special walking in through the VIP “pit section” entrance. Once we sat down in our amazing seats, it hit me how amazingly close we were! With no one in front of us, I could already imagine looking up at the five faces that I have drooled over for so, so long.

The opening act “Carmyn” got everyone pumped up, and I have to admit she was very good! After she was finished, I remember the exact words she said:

“ARE YOU READY FOR ONE DIRECTION!?!”

Suddenly, a wave of piercing screams stabbed in my ear drums, and at the same time I could hear my heartbeat getting louder and quicker. She ran off stage and the lights dimmed. Laser lights started spazzing and spinning, shining lights on the crowd. After what felt like hours of anxiety, Harry's gorgeous face showed up on the big screen at the back of the stage. There were words underneath his picture but I was so excited, I didn’t bother to read them. Next Niall's, Louis', Zayn's, and finally Liam's pictures appeared one after another, and for each members picture, hysteric screams erupted. The only words I remember from the screen were “one direction in 10 seconds”. The sea of girls slowly started counting down, getting louder and louder as the numbers got smaller. At 0, five figures ran out on stage, immediately letting their awe-inspiring voices extend throughout, singing “Na Na Na”. I barely remember them singing that one song because of all of the joyfulness and excitement channeling through my body. God must have been in a good mood that day, because Liam stood and sang right in front of me. It was such an amazing experience being so close, because I could hear his actual voice singing instead of just through the microphone. For some reason, he suddenly looked down, right at me. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. It felt like my heart was beating completely outside of my chest, like in a cartoon. I thought I would faint. I reached out my hand, with slim chances that he would reach back to touch it, but he did. Liam Payne shook my hand. At that moment, I felt myself falling even more in love with him, which I didn’t think was possible.
