Dear, first-day diary 1/12/20
"Hello... I don't really know what to do with this. I am doing this today because my dad told me that it would be more beneficial for me to do this instead of holding all of it in. I guess this might be a national treasure *yay*. My name is Joy, nice to meet all of you that read this. I am half Korean half white girl with a height of 164cm I believe or 5"3 ft to make it global. I am a trendy girl who only likes to wear cute graphic tees, but occasionally the expensive wardrobe comes out with denim jackets and casual expensive things. I guess like Gucci is one of them, I just wear their t-shirts sometimes for fun. My family isn't exactly the richest, but I have ways of making money...I don't know if I should reveal too much of that right now because it's way too early within my story to reveal some of my darkest secrets...I really don't know what to write in this, but hopefully, it will come to me when I keep on doing this. I am only doing this for my dad, if he thinks this is best for me then I shall try my best in order to make his thoughts a reality. I appreciate his effort and concern for me. My dad is the white side of my family, he's about 5'8 which feels a lot of lot taller than me, but that's alright. Hopefully, I still grow even though I am already 18...there's still a chance for me. Oh yeah, I can also see magic or energy radiating from an object or a person. I guess that's it for today. Bye-bye."
I closed the book and quickly took a look around my room. It was a small room only enough to fit a bed and a computer, it had a wall closet so I had enough space for a wardrobe type thing. The paint was chipping, but it gave the room a nice soothing aura thanks to it. It made it seem like I'm a struggling artist. My bed wasn't made, the floor had a bunch of clothes on it, the walls had a bunch of posters pasted and my mirror a mixture of smudges and dust over it. With that in mind, I had a newfound motivation to clear the day and make sure to clean my room. I giggled to myself at the thought of having a clean room for once, mhmm so tasty. I walked out of the room with my backpack and waved bye to my dad. I shuffled out the door and all of a sudden my motivation dropped...
"I really don't want to go to school." I blurted out to myself as I was already in front of the castle of a school.
The school was 5 floors and painted entirely white which made it look like the white house. There was really one entrance to the school. It was the parting of the Red Sea except with grass and trees. It looks to be very extravagant with the white brick arrangement on the floor in between the forest on both sides. Loads of people all herding into the entrance at once, each one looking bland with the school uniform on including myself. Everyone had the same exact magic level though there were some people that had a bigger aura than others. After all there are people that are just tremendously talented and they just don't know it.
Next thing I knew I was on the ground with a very dull feeling of pain in my back.
"I'M REALLY SORRY." a voice from behind remarked.
I looked behind me to see a kid with a large book in his arms. He quickly stood up and helped me get up as well. Let me just remark that I was a midget compared to him, he was at least 6 foot with a pretty fit build (looked like he played a sport). Nice blonde hair that was fluffy and green eyes that were the same color as the grass next to us.
"Are you okay?" he asked while dusting himself off
"Yeah, I am fine," I said rubbing my back. It kinda hurts honestly
I looked at the thick book that he was holding and he bent down to get a closer look at my face. I stuck out my tongue and he did a little smile. I sized him up and his magic level was higher than anyone's that I have ever seen. His aura was basically covering the whole entrance of the school from the gate to the school.
"Could it be that you are the Joy?" he asked me enthusiastically.
Whattttttttttt... how could someone know me in this large school? I didn't have any friends and I for sure wasn't popular in the slightest bit, I was just a little bean in a bean bag.
"Um, yea...how did you know?" I inquired since there was no way to know about me.
"You have quite the reputation you know," he answered back with a very big smile on his face.
I let out a nervous smile and rubbed my head, there was no way that I had a reputation in this school.
"Don't worry, I know about the other side of the world." he said and patted my head."I'll see you later, meet me in front of the school later."
I blinked a couple of times to process what he said to me. Wait he knew about the other side of the world... that means that he knew about magic. I have a reputation on the magic side of the world? I thought it was only me, I thought that magic was basically talent. If that isn't the case, then people with magic can actually control it? Am I just a power detector for power? Wait a minute... what do you mean I had a reputation on this side of the world?
