Headache

Lili POV

I woke up, my head pounding.
I checked the time and it was 4 in the morning, I didn't have to be up for work until 6 so I tried to ignore my killer headache and snuggled back into Cole trying to get a few more hours of sleep.

Cole POV

I woke up to the sound of my annoying alarm.
I turned to my side and to see my beautiful girlfriend.

A smile grew on my face but then quickly faded when I saw that Lili had a pained look on her face.

I gave her a soft shake and a gentle kiss on her forehead to wake her up.
She finally opens her eyes and I begin to rub her back for comfort because from the look on her face I knew something was wrong.

"Ughh " Lili groans.

What's wrong? i ask, continuing to rub her back.

"My head has been hurting ever since 4 this morning Cole" Lili says in a weak, quiet voice.

"Awhh baby" I cooed. Do you want me to call in sick for the both of us?

"No, no it's ok, we both have a lot of scenes to do today. I'll be fine" Lili said with a weak smile.

"Ok" I said with uncertainty. "But if you feel like it's too much and wanna go home, just come find me"

"Ok" Lili promised

Lili POV

After persuading Cole that I was well enough to go into work today, we both got up and ready.

I took a little longer because to be honest my headache was getting worse by the minute.

I think Cole noticed because he instructed me to sit down and then he continued to help me get ready.

Cole POV

After I got Lili ready I kissed her forehead softly and pulled her into a soft, comforting hug.

We stayed like that for a good 3 minutes before Lili whispered that we should probably get going.

I nodded in agreement and intertwined our fingers before leading to the car and gently getting her settled in.

She gave me a smile of appreciation before I gently closed her door and walked over to get into the drivers side.

Lili POV

Once Cole started driving I grabbed his hand in mine causing him to smile. His smile quickly faded though when he saw my worried expression.

"What's wrong babe,is it still your headache?"

"Not entirely, I mean my head is still pounding but i'm just worried that the natural loud noise and chatter on set will worsen my headache."

We were at a red light so he leaned over and kissed my head softly before driving off again.

"Don't worry Lils, i'll let everyone know you're not feeling great and to keep it down.

"Thanks Coley" I weakly smiled.

After that I shut my eyes hoping to try and make this headache go away, even if it was just for a few minutes.

Cole POV

We arrived at set and I looked over to see my precious Lils asleep.

So I caressed her hand with my thumb and gently let go of her hand to get out of the car and properly wake her up.

I open her passenger door and kiss her on the cheek, and then forehead gently. As I do that she starts to stir so I kiss her hand and then she opens her eyes and starts to wake up fully.

"Hey baby we're at set now" I whisper

"Ughhh, ok. My head is still killing me." she groans back

She gets out of the car and I pull her into another hug.

"I know baby, I know." I whisper back

I kiss her temple and then we walk hand in hand to the makeup trailer.

We part ways to do our hair and makeup and just as Lili's leaving to start her scenes, I pull her aside and tell her that I promise to find her after I finish my scene.

We part ways again after sharing a sweet but soft kiss.

Lili POV

I finished my scene and went immediately to a room I knew nobody would be.

I texted Cole where I was and then put my head down. Tears started flowing because I just couldn't handle this headache anymore, especially not while working.

A few moments later Cole came in and rushed to my side.

"Baby, what happened?!"

"I can't do it Cole. Working while having this headache is too much stress."

"Lili you should've told me sooner" he whispered " I'm taking you home"

I didn't have the energy to argue so Cole ran to find Roberto (our show runner) and told him that I really needed to go home and rest. Roberto said of course, and to get well soon.

Cole POV

I rushed back to Lili who was still in the quiet room.

I gave her a gentle forehead kiss and helped her stand up.

We then walked to the car hand in hand, me caressing her hand with my thumb once again to help sooth the pain. Once we got in the car she started to lightly sob.

"Hey, hey we're almost home okay?" I whispered, kissing her hand gently.

"I'm sorry" she sobbed.

"For what Lils?" I asked.

"For being such a hassle" she replied.

"You are not a hassle Lili Reinhart, it is my job to take care of you just like you do for me so don't apologize" I whispered.

" I love you coley"

" I love you more bub"

After that we went home and I made sure Lili rested well. Thankfully her headache was 100x better by that evening but we still took it easy and just cuddled on the couch.

Lili POV

Cole made sure I took it extra easy tonight. I know that Cole will always make sure I'm at my best and I will always do the same for him.
