Night 1

I sat down in the black leather chair. I felt it stretch under my weight. I looked around the small office. The walls were covered in posters of animatronic animals. I knew their names Bonnie the bunny, Chica the chicken (but I still couldn't get around the fact the she looked like a duck), Foxy the pirate and the main attraction Freddy Fazbear. At the end of the tiny room was my desk, it looked pretty old and it had some dents and scratches on it. The fan on the right of the desk was operating and the cool air hit my face. I looked down at my tablet I had been given. I still couldn't believe they took me for the job, no interview or nothing. All they did was send me a contract after I called them about the job and they just said if I wanted the job all I needed to do was sign the contract, that easy. But something that did get at me was the part that said "Not responsible for injury/dismemberment." What were they meaning by that. Well, it was too late now, I was sitting in that office waiting for my shift to start.

DING!

And with that it started. I heard the generator kick in and I just sat in my chair waiting for 6 am to role around. I checked my clock on my tablet and it read 12:01am. Suddenly the phone rang. I pressed the play button on the base.
"Hello, hello?" Said a man through the machine. "Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first night. Um, I actually worked in that office before you. I'm finishing up my last week now, as a matter of fact. So, I know it can be a bit overwhelming, but I'm here to tell you there's nothing to worry about." He said reassuringly "Uh, you'll do fine. So, let's just focus on getting you through your first week. Okay? Uh, lets see, first there's an introductory greeting from the company that I'm supposed to read." I sighed. "Uh, I-It's kind of a legal thing, you know. Um, "Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza." He began. "A magical place for kids and grown-ups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or a person. Upon discovering the damage or death have occurred." My eyes widened. "A missing person report will be filed within 90 days, or as soon property and premises have been thoroughly cleaned and bleached, and the carpets have been replaced." Blah blah blah, now that might sound bad, I know, but there's really nothing to worry about. Uh, the animatronic characters here do get a bit quirky at night."

"quirky?" I asked myself.

"But do I blame them? No. If I were forced to sing those same stupid songs for twenty years and I never got a bath? I'd probably be a bit irritable at night too. So, remember, these characters hold a special place in the hearts of children and we need to show them a little respect, right? Okay. So, just be aware, the characters do tend to wander a bit."

"Wander!"

"Uh, they're left in some kind of 'free roaming mode' at night. Uh...Something about their servos locking up if they get turned off for too long. Uh, they used to be allowed to walk around during the day too. But then there was The Bite of '87. Yeah. I-It's amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe, you know?" I felt scared. "Uh, now concerning your safety, the only real risk to you as a night watchman here, if any, is the fact that these characters, uh, if they happen to see you after hours probably won't recognize you as a person. They'll p-most likely see you as a metal endoskeleton without its costume on. Now since that's against the rules here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, they'll probably try to...forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit." I felt the stress ease a little "Um, now, that wouldn't be so bad if the suits themselves weren't filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices, especially around the facial area. So, you could imagine how having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause a bit of discomfort...and death. Uh, the only parts of you that would likely see the light of day again would be your eyeballs and teeth when they pop out the front of the mask, heh. Y-Yeah, they don't tell you these things when you sign up. But hey, first day should be a breeze. I'll chat with you tomorrow. Uh, check those cameras, and remember to close the doors only if absolutely necessary. Gotta conserve power. Alright, good night." And with that, he hung up. I didn't know it was this deranged being a night watchmen. But I had to do what I had to do. I looked down at my tablet and pressed the stage cam. Standing there was Freddy, Chica and Bonnie, then it came to me. That guy was just messing with me, they wouldn't move, I laughed out loud and looked up at the poster of all 3 of them looking quite cheerful. I smiled. "Of course, thats what they do, prank the new guy into getting scared by animatronics." I relieved myself "Thinking that there is more to this job than just sitting on a chair and looking at cameras." I laughed some more and looked back down at my camera. Thats when my smile disappeared, my skin went pale white, I could feel myself about to be sick. I felt a chiver run down my spine. Freddy, Chica And Bonnie were all staring straight into the camera. I gulped. This couldn't be happening. Maybe the man on the phone was right. Maybe the animatronics do wander and maybe they do 'forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit!' Suddenly the camera lost connection. I freaked out I switched through all the cameras. All of them, dead. I put my tablet down and checked both doors. Thankfully no one or nothing was there. I looked back at my tablet. Luckly the connection was back. The only bad thing was that... one of the animatronics was missing! "Freddy... Chica... Thankgod you are still there... Bonnie! Where is that Bunny!" I shouted at the tablet. I heard clinking of moving gears. My eyes darted to each door, no one. I felt the stress rise. I checked the cameras again. The Dining area was empty, just 3 rows of tables with party hats lining the middle, on top of a white sheet, I then flicked to the next cam which was the left hallway, empty, then to the right hallway, also empty. I sighed in frustration. I checked the doorways again, They were clear. I flipped my touchscreen up and clicked on the Backstage camera. There, waiting for me was Bonnie. Right up in the camera. Staring. He didn't move, he just starred. Waiting for me to change the camera, so he could move, then i made a bad mistake, I blinked. as soon as i opened my eyes again he was gone. I panicked and switched through all the cameras until I got to the left hall. He was standing in the shadows. I was scared, for my life. The camera then lost connection again! The white noise filled my ears. My vision went blurry from the tears that were welling up in my eyes. I knew that I was going to die. I quickly wiped away the tears and looked at the doors. Both clear. I turned down to the tablet. The connection was back on, I switched through the cameras, all of them were empty besides the closet. Standing in there was Bonnie. Staring up into the camera.

DING!

I looked at my clock. 6am? I was so confused. It felt only like minutes not hours. Anyway, I wasn't out of the woods yet. I looked back at my tablet. Bonnie wasn't there! I flipped my tablet down and looked straight to the door. Empty. I turned back to my tablet and tapped through all the camera's. Bonnie was back in his usual spot. Up on the stage. With Freddy and Chica. I blinked. Still there. Why was he there? Why didn't he just come and get me when he had the chance? Then it came to me. I had slept through my shift! That's why the shift was so short! I sighed. Smiled. Got up and waited for the manager to let me out of the pizzeria.
