I didn't like waking up early, but when your getting your name yelled out it's kind of hard. I walked down the stairs of the pack house in my sweatpants and sweatshirt, "yes father?" I asked as he stood there with his arms crossed. "I need you to go grocery running" I nodded and went to my room to change into skinny jeans and a clean sweatshirt.

After I changed, I walked out of the house and down the road. I walk to wherever I got to go. Once I was at the store, I was walking down the aisle where the pasta, rice, and such was at. When my wolf spoke up "Mate.." I turned to be faced with this gorgeous looking guy, who was staring back with darkened eyes. "Name?" He asked almost begging. "Ryder. You?" I asked back with almost the same intensity. "Alec." His voice deep and raspy, and smooth.

"you're my mate." He said as he got closer to me "mhm" I whimper as I stare at him. He is taller than me. "What you doing?" He asked as I start back into my shopping. "I am shopping for my father's pack house." He stared for a second "he makes you do that?" I just simply nodded as I picked up the loaf of bread. Alec's hand grazed mine, and just for a second I felt the electricity shoot up my arm and down my spine. "Once you are done, I'm gonna have a talk with him. What pack?" He asked "midnight pack." I responded and I heard his breath stop for a second, feeling his anger radiate from him. I turned to face him "i'm the shadow pack." I instantly knew why he got angry.

My pack and his has this feud going on between them, for about 5 years now. "Let's finish the shopping and I will explain to your father that you're my mate." Alec said placing his hand on my lower back. Grocery shopping was finished in a hour tops. We talked about each other getting to know one another and what we enjoy. He enjoys reading on his free time, as do I when I can. Once we arrive to my pack house, Alec tensed but relaxed because of his anger towards my father. We walked in and the servants gasped and rushed to get the groceries.

I showed Alec where the study is, where my father is always located at. He told me to stand out in the hallway. I couldn't hear the conversation they were having. The door was shut and I was standing in the dimly lit hallway of this five story mansion. Which was very out in the open. I was twiddling my thumbs and biting my lip from being nervous. I didn't like to wait knowing what was gonna happen. It's been ten minutes and still nothing. I even tried pressing my ear against the door of his study, hearing nothing but mumbles. I started pacing, then my father's war unit came walking down the stairwell of the war section of the house.

Once we made eye contact I knew. "Your coming with us." The leader of the unit said. I struggled which caused me to kick the door of the study when they grabbed me. I saw Alec peep out of the door and his voice boomed "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HIM?!?" He angrily turned to him. As they hauled me down two flights of stairs and a shorter one that led into the dungeon. They locked me in the cell. I slouched against the cold stone wall of the cell. The dark cell made it even harder for me, the only light was at the stairs to the door. It barely lit anything past the stairs. I struggled but I fell asleep on the uncomfortable, cold floor.
