My Stepbrother

Chapter 3

Previously:
I exit with the bathing suit under my clothes and hand the lady the tag off of it so I could pay, and I leave with the boys to the beach.
Here we go...
Now:
We get out of the cars, and immediately head towards the changing rooms so the boys can change.
Me, already having the bathing suit on, I take off my clothes, revealing my bathing suit.
"Woah-" Jimin says, walking out alone.
"Don't worry, I know I'm not skinny" I say, looking down as insecurities creep I to my mind.
"No! You very skinny and pretty!" Jimin says, stepping closer.
"Oh..umm...thank you" I respond, glancing up to see him smiling brightly.
"I sorry for...acting mad when I met you. I did not want to like you." He says, frowning.
"It's okay! I didn't want to like you, or Korea" I say, smiling apologetically, causing him to laugh.
After that moment, we wait in a comfortable silence until the other boys join us.
"Let's go..to the b-" Taehyung starts before getting interrupted by Jimin.
"Beach" Jimin says causing Namjoon to laugh.
Seeing my confused reaction, Namjoon whispers in my ear, "he usually says the other word that means female dog," causing me to burst out laughing. I guess I have one of those contagious laughs because everyone joined in except for Jimin, who only lasted about 10 seconds before joining in.
"Let's go!" Jungkook says, still laughing as he picks me up and runs towards the water.
"No Jungkook! Don't you dare!" I shout, trying to avoid being thrown into the water.
"Sorry, english speakeu no" he says, continuing to run.
"감히 나를 물에 던지 지마" I whisper the same thing in korean into his ear, causing him to freeze.
"YOU SPE-" he shouts, before I cover his mouth and signal to him that it's a secret as the guys catch up.
"Jungkook! That's the closest you've ever been to a girl!" Jin says In Korean causing Jungkook's face, including his ears to turn red.
"Ahh Jungkook, don't be shy, she can't understand anyways!" Hoseok says pinching Jungkook's cheeks, causing him to turn even more red as he glances at me.
Little do they know. I think to myself, trying to hold in my smile.
After the "picking on Jungkook" session, we all played in the water and laughed around, until I heard my phone ringing on the sand.
(You guys are probably wondering when my mom gave me my phone back, well.... she didn't. I took it back 😉)
Quickly, as the boys continue playing, I run to my phone and answer it seeing Kai's face and name on the screen.
"Yeoboseyo?" I say excitedly into the phone.
"Ahh Jagiya, what are you doing?" He asks, softly.
"I'm at the beach with my stepbrother and his friends" I respond.
"Are they all guys?" He asks, sounding irritated.
"Yes but don't worry! You know I would never cheat on you! Just like I know you would never cheat on me oppa!" I say, smiling even though he can't see me.
"Umm.. yea.. anyways, I was getting ready for bed and just wanted to tell you goodnight" he says, seeming a lot more nervous.
"Okay goodn-" I say before hearing a girls voice on the other line.
"Oppa? Are you ready?" She says before the phone hangs up.
Okay something is definitely up... would he...? No. There's no way! I trust h-
"So when were you going to tell us you spoke Korean?" Taehyung says, causing me to quickly turn around.
(This convo will be in Korean)
"Hey are you okay?" He asks
"Why wouldn't I be okay?" I ask smiling as his hands go towards my face and he wipes tears that I didn't realize were falling.
"Usually when people cry, it means they're sad." He says, looking concerned.
"I just, my boyfriend is acting weird and I feel like he might be cheating.." I say, looking down.
"How did you find a korean boy that fast?" He asks.
"He lived in America" I respond, still frowning slightly.
"Well, if he is cheating, then he isn't good enough for you." He says, placing his hand on the side of my face.
Not wanting to be rude, I softly grab his wrist and remove his hand before adding, "look, I'm sorry but, if he is cheating, that would make me just as bad..."
"Hey, don't be sorry! I want to be next in line if something happens though" he says, winking, as he tries to cheer me up.
"Haha you're such a playboy!" I say to him as Jungkook walks up and sits by us.
"International playboy!" Jungkook adds causing all three of us to laugh.
"In all honesty, Jungkook and I are the two friends in the group that aren't playboys." Taehyung says, as Jungkook nods his head in agreement.
"Well, I'll keep that in mind if anything happens with Kai." I say, jokingly agreeing.
"Who's Kai?" Jungkook asks in confusion.
"Her boyfriend" Taehyung responds, before adding,
"You knew she spoke Korean?"
"I found out when I was going to throw her into the water. I pretending I couldn't understand her and so she repeating herself in korean," he replies, smiling cheekily.
"Why didn't you tell us Jungkook?" He asks, pretending to be offended.
"It was our little secret. But now you're included in on the secret." I say, locking pinkies with both of them.
"Y/N! LOOK WHAT I FOUND!" Namjoon says, running towards me with something in his hands.
Fearing the thought of him putting something scary on me, I stand up, and grab the first person I touch, putting them in front of me like a shield.
That probably wasn't the best idea... my hand touched his abs before finding his arm, causing us both to blush.
"What is it Joonie?" I ask, as he holds out his hand to reveal a hermit crab.
"Aww. It's so cute!" I say, coming from behind Jungkook so I could see it better.
"Can I hold it?" I ask, holding my hands out.
"Sure! What should I name him?" He asks as I hold him.
"What about Bubbles?" I suggest.
"What does that have to do with crabs?" Yoongi asks, as I look up from the crab to see all of the other guys have joined us.
"I don't know, but he just looks like a bubbles" I reply causing confused reaction from the guys.
"He not look like a bubble." Jin replies causing me to giggle.
"아니, 그 이름은 그에게 어울린다" Namjoon says, translating it for the boys.
"Ahhh" the boys say.
"His name shall be bubbles!" Namjoon declares as I hand him back.
"Guys, we should head back" Jimin says in Korean.
"We should head back" Namjoon says, translating for me.
"Okay" I respond as we start walking to the cars.
I see Namjoon and Yoongi ahead of us talking. Before they turn around and head towards us.
"Hey Y/N, you should ride with me" Yoongi says, winking and showing his gummy smile.
I know he's a player so it's all a joke, but my heart fluttered a little until Jimin said something I didn't expect.
