Claire

Claire was a shy girl from the countryside of New York who was doing well in school and enjoyed a good meal. When she had told her mother she wanted to be a food critic, her mother fell to pieces. "It's a sure way for you to die from hepatitis c." Claire would never get anywhere in life though if she listening to her mother. So.. she finished her high school career and went to a primitive college where she could get a degree in food arts.

Claire was not sure if her food arts degree was going to help her any but it got her a position in food hygiene in southern Florida. "I can't wait to be going back south," she said with a dash of sarcasm in her voice as she was riding on the train to diner-town. "What a funny name," she said in a whisper as she was looking at the city pamphlet in her hands. It would only take a few days for her to settle down in her new apartment before she would visit her first place- Flo's diner.

Claire fit in with the local people right away as she settled into her new home and became friends with the local pet shop owner- Karma. Claire walked down to Flo's diner feeling nervous about her first job and fearing a chance of even not liking the food. Claire was a shy girl but also tough and did not want to close down the first place she went to. Especially one with the town's new favorite character, Flo!

Claire walked in the doors and was overwhelmed by how nice and clean it was. She began to scribble in her notepad as a lady lead her to her table. "I'm Flo, may I take your order." Claire could not believe how upbeat and friendly she was as she ordered a burger with a side of fries. This all made her feel at ease as she looked around at the beauty around her with smiling faces and a glowing sun.

The only problem was a man talking on the phone saying "he was so lucky to work for big corp" but he was far away enough as not to disturb her. Flo brought over her food looking a little nervous but Claire made her feel at ease. "I know it's going to be great," she said with a smile. And it was nothing sort of amazing! What a great first place to be eating at and she gave Flo four stars for her diner.

Claire came home that night feeling better than ever without a care in the world. She was so happy to be in this new town but she was also feeling lonely too.. she could never forget the boy who left her back home cause she was never good enough for him cause of her glasses and quirky style. Maybe this friendly new town could cure her of her aching for him and she would forget him forever and ever.
