Boss' POV
I stand behind a wall and listen.
"What's up with Jayden? I mean I don't like him, but he hasn't been happy."
"Why the hell would you care if you don't like him?"
"Cause I'm not that cruel."
"For God's sake, Jake. Shut the hell up."
He sighs.
"When are you going to get back at Jayden?"
"I don't know. I want to, but I'm too scared to."
"Why?"
"Cause I don't wanna go to fucking jail, Jake!"
"So you aren't going to do anything?"
"As much as I want to, no."
My eyebrows come together. So he wasn't behind this? I walk out and the men look at me.
"Morning guys."
"Morning sir."
"Morning."
"Has anyone seen Hannah?"
They both shake their heads.
"Hmph strange. The door was open when I arrived. She is usually the very first one here."
"Sorry sir, I have no idea where she is."
I stare at John's eyes. He was telling the truth. I look at Jake's. Also the truth. Then what the hell is going on?
"Ok.. Thanks."
They both nod and I walk off. As soon as I was out of sight I run to Jayden's desk. I get there and see that he wasn't in his seat. Fuck where is he? I leave and walk by the break room. I glance in and see he isn't there. Where is he! I run to the control room. I notice the door is open and I walk in. I walk down the hall and glance by the computers. I see Jayden standing there, hands gripping the controls, head down.
"Jayden?"
"If they aren't behind this then who the hell is?"
"I wish I could tell you Jayden. I really wish I could."
"I just got another text from J."
"And."
"He said he killed Jai."
He turns to me and I see his face red, tears falling from his eyes.
"I doubt he did that."
"And what if he did? I just lost one of my best friends."
I walk up to him and I hug him. He quickly pulls away and wipes the tears from his face.
"We need to find him, and we need to find him soon. I can't let him hurt Luke and Hannah."
"Ok you still got the address?"
He nods and he takes out a piece of paper. He gives it to me and I nod.
"Let's go."
We run out and we go to the door.
"Wait! I'll be right back. Go outside and wait by the front door."
He nods and leaves. I go to the break room and see Jake. I couldn't believe I was about to ask him this question since I didn't trust him. I walk in and sigh.
"Jake can you watch the office while I'm out?"
He nods.
"And I swear if this office is ruined your ass is dead."
