Guilty Victim

Chapter two

Jen's pov

"I want her out. As much as she's my best friend I want her gone. She's tearing us apart. Wrecking everything. She's a killer Jason and I'm scared that she's going to hurt one of us." I screamed, "so if she isn't gone by the end of the week.... I am."

Just then she walked down the stairs wearing only my brothers T-shirt and her own shorts. I locked eyes with her and she did the same with me. Her brown hair, tied in a messy bun, bounced as she walked past me into the kitchen.

"Does anyone want anything?" I heard her call. How could she pretend everything was okay? How could she be okay? She killed her dad for gods sake. And the police were already on the case. I hope she knows that if they ask me about the situation I'm not going to lie for her. She killed him. End of.

"Baby. Go get changed. We're off out!" Jason yelped back at her. Immediately she ran up the stairs and in a matter of minutes she was back down wearing her own clothing and her hair was down. Jason grabbed her hand and walked out of the door with her.

Moments later they arrived. I let them in and told them to take a seat on the sofa whilst I made them drinks.

"So she claims she's innocent? She claims it was self defence? Well in all honesty it does sound like self defence Jen. But one way to ensure you get what you want is by stating you feel unsafe around her and don't like her near Jason. That way they should take her away." My best friend said, "personally I think she should move out. Not break up with Jason but just move out. Go away for a few days. Take a break. And come back when she's ready." I was so glad Zachery was studying law in college it meant I could ask his opinions on the situation with Tori.

"Do you know what? I think you're right." I replied with a huge smile on my face as I took a sip from my latte, "anyway. Enough of my problems. How's your life going?"

"Well... it's okay. College is great. I love the course. Oh and there's this guy..." he began. I know what you're thinking. Didn't Zachery have a boyfriend in the last book? Well they broke up because he cheated on my best friend. Good job Tori doesn't know or he might not be alive, "his name is Jamie. He also studies law but he also dances. We've been talking for a bit now like getting close and stuff. And oh my god Jen... he dances on FaceTime and I swear hand on heart I start getting hard."

"Ewww!" I screeched making the whole of Starbucks now look at us, "TMI Mr Zachery. TMI!" We both burst into laughter before finishing our drinks and leaving the building.
