Georgia made her way to the school as usual. She had her headphones on and was slightly tapping her fingers to the rhythm. She took a glance to her watch and hurried up when she realized she had 3 minutes until the classes began.
Her closest friend April greeted her when she entered the classroom just in time, a few seconds before the teacher. She turned back in her chair and asked with a genuine smile on her face, "After school, the usual, right?". Georgia nodded with a barely visible smile on her face while taking her books out of her backpack. "We have a long day ahead of us." she thought as the teacher began his lecture.

"For a second I thought this day was never going to end! Is it possible for a physics lesson to get this boring?" April complained as they were walking to the teashop that she and Georgia went to every Thursday after school for nearly two years now.
"I don't even understand why they bother teaching us all that stuff, like we were actually going to use them after graduation!" she went on when Georgia didn't said anything back but only smiled at her friend's rage. She wasn't quite the miss little sunshine and she barely laughed around people, though she liked April's short-tempered nature since the first time they'd met.
"Well, maybe you actually will if you are intending to be a science person." she chuckled in response.

They were sipping on their tea, talking about the weekly gossip per usual and both enjoying themselves lounging on the comfy couches of the teashop.
"I can't believe Julia is still dating that guy! He treats her like trash and, you know, after that incident in summer, he should be doing a little bit more to keep this relationship alive." April screeched.
"Not everyone has a relationship as perfect as you and Pete, April."
"Thank you, but still, you should get rid of toxic relationships as quick as possible, otherwise they'll consume you, like they do with Julia."
"I think you shouldn't be so harsh on her, after all it's not her fault really, everyone keeps telling that they're the perfect couple and she chooses to fool herself as long as she can. Because, you know, right now I don't assume she's ready to deal with a break up, not after her father."
"But that trying to keep that relationship alive is only tiring her more! If they were to break up, I'm sure she'd be much more relaxed and not crying all the time like she does now."
"I don't think their fights are the only reason she cries so much." Georgia said pushing her glasses back.
"Oh, right. I should've thought about that thing, of course." April mumbled and took another sip from her tea.

As they were finishing their second cup of tea and watching the sun slowly setting behind the trees, "You know, Georgia, you always seem to understand people really well, sometimes even the ones with most complex issues." April commented.
"Just the perk of being an objective observer, I guess." she replied without turning her head away from the window.
"I think we need to get you a boyfriend." April blurted out.
"Excuse me!" Georgia snapped immediately with a surprised look on her face. This wasn't the first time she heard she needed to get a boyfriend but she was always thinking that people were exaggerating the situation. She always responded people that this wasn't their business and she was okay with being single but the problem was: she wasn't, at all actually. So she was beyond shocked when she heard that coming from her best friend.
"Hey relax, I'm just kidding. But, truly, you never tell me about your love life! I don't want to dig up your private stuff, but come on! There's got to be a special 'friend' of yours that you've been keeping away from me!" she exclaimed. Georgia decided to go with the truth and shook her head.
"Not even someone you have a crush on? You know, I'm good with nearly everyone at school, if there's someone you like, I could help you with it."
"Nope," she replied, popping the p and shaking her head.
"Not even one single human being."
She was lying.
"Besides, don't you think I would've told you if I had a crush on someone?"
She was lying again.
"You would plan our wedding, our honeymoon too probably! Why would I keep such thing from you?" she responded half-laughing and April laughed with her too.
"Alright, alright, just asking. But, we should get going, or my mother is going to be really mad." April went on, still trying to catch her breath from laughing a lot.
"Ok, just let me go wash my hands real quick before we leave." Georgia said and got up the couch, her mind filled with questions once again.
